News 'Disney Enchantment' coming to Magic Kingdom October 1 2021

Yes in retrospect, Disney made a massive mistake with the direction of Enchantment. But this is still a correction that is welcomed, at least for me.

I've said it before, Enchantment isn't a bad show at all. It's just a weird successor to something beloved without any 50th beats.

I can only guess that they found that show not entertaining enough? Do we know if that version had the same music?

I actually have the opposite opinion here. I think it shortens its life. Without Walt/Roy, the show could live for years. And if it were generic TWDC content, it could as well (through the 100th, for example). But with WDW specific content, I think it almost certainly spells the beginning of the end for Enchantment.

And yet, DL got Wishes' Theme and Walt's Opening Speech( along with DL's E Tickets of course) for the 50th and it lasted till at least Fall 2018, on and off. Very interesting discussion on here! We'll see where it goes!

This kinda feels like a reaction to the recent "Disney is moving away from Walt" rumors. Although this very well could have been in the works before that.

Hey now, two or so college inters just spent the entire summer working on this 2 minute tag/revised intro for DE!

But to be completely honest, I remember reading that some intern worked on a one of the projection castle shows (OUAT I think?) and he/she was able to tell their friends that their work was viewed by millions of guests at WDW. Would be pretty cool if its the same for this as well.

I'm only speculating but I'm going to guess no. But that would've been fine as a temporary show.

Interesting. The original Enchantment i believe was heavily inspired by RDCT at Disneyland, a show whose the creator also creating Celebrate! TDL and WOC Celebrate! (Steve Davison), where both shows also inspired by RDCT.

Looked up Enchantment on Twitter. Looks like we'll see the new Intro later this month.......if there's any truth to that......

Hopefully before Labor Day Weekend/September!!!
