Not quite. So I guess the options were....
Disney Enchantment 2.0
Happily Ever After 2.0
They chose to double down and "improve" the former....sad

Plus who knows on an End Date, or in this case, a Start Date! LOL!!!There is no Enchantment on a Halloween party night.
I would love to tell youSpill the beans!
What will I be watching next April?
Excited for this intro. I think it may even debut tonight.
Last night looked like a step in the right direction but do you have actual good news about MK this fall or next year????I would love to tell you
Nothing major is happening in 2022 at MK.Last night looked like a step in the right direction but do you have actual good news about MK this fall or next year????
Would you call last night Minor??Nothing major is happening in 2022 at MK.
According to wiki, RDCT was last performed on January 17, 2019 before Mickey's Mix Magic debut. But in fact, the final performance of RDCT was happened in November 2018, just before holiday season.Plus who knows on an End Date, or in this case, a Start Date! LOL!!!
Remember, RDCT was heavily about DL's 50th and DL had it till 2018, who knows if that's officallly gone??????
Yeah.Would you call last night Minor??
I felt Enchantment wouldn't live past the 50th, but thought the Walt/Roy powerups might extend the show's life. That remains to be seen. It could just be labelled to run through the 50th and Enchantment may still be on borrowed time. What Crow????? We have absolutely no clue on what TDO is doing!!!!!! We can't even get a F! Date or Rehearsal Reports out of TDO or the Insiders!!! ( No Offense to the Insiders, but it's been quiet for a little while.....)
If this is for the 100th or the 50th Finale. Wouldn't MK Market this a little???
I actually have the opposite opinion here. I think it shortens its life. Without Walt/Roy, the show could live for years. And if it were generic TWDC content, it could as well (through the 100th, for example). But with WDW specific content, I think it almost certainly spells the beginning of the end for Enchantment.I felt Enchantment wouldn't live past the 50th, but thought the Walt/Roy powerups might extend the show's life. The other crow: Check out the Walt disappearing from WDW thread. Plenty of people think the change from Walt Disney World to disneyworld could be a real thing.
I have not seen that thread, and IDK if I want too.........I felt Enchantment wouldn't live past the 50th, but thought the Walt/Roy powerups might extend the show's life. That remains to be seen. It could just be labelled to run through the 50th and Enchantment may still be on borrowed time.

I mean, it will be nice to see and certainly up my enjoyment of the show somewhat, but it's still slapping a band-aid on a fundamentally broken show. A two-minute nod to Walt and Roy does nothing to address the core 15 minutes of the show, which should have drawn from WDW history and utilized MK park-specific music and imagery in the first place. (I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but the point stands!)I am in the crowd that desperately wants HEA to make a return but I see this as a very positive change. For the longest people complained about Enchantment not relating to the history of the park and I've seen so many comments like "it should have had Walt in it".
Him AND Roy seem to be in the show now and people still complain.
I'm happy with any positive change to the show considering the fact that I don't see it running for too much longer. Once it ends, it might as well go out with a bang.
Honestly, all they did was replace the orchestra intro with some pretty minor/basic projections of the history of the park. The rest of the show unchanged. We're only half way through the 50th, so it's a reasonable change to make if they are willing to end Enchantment with the 50th.Would you call last night Minor??
Don't tell me this was a test that goes nowhere?!?!?!
Thank you.Not quite.
I don't think we will get any clarity but I really don't think they would remove Walt from the show after adding him. IMHO, the only option is it ends with the 50th along with everything else.Or they could add the 50th tags and remove it on April 1st and get back to just Enchantment.
Hopefully we get some clarity this week.

Fingers crossed as others have said this will link DE to the 50th and ensure HEA returns next year, or we get a high quality replacement. Although it is kind of sad to think a reference to Walt in a fireworks show might be seen as unsuitable post-anniversary. Remember Celebrate the Magic?
