All I know is that they aren't planning on keeping the show long-term, I've heard what they could possibly replace it with but I'm not sure if it's safe to mention possibilities at this point. Besides HEA.
They could go nostalgic with updates or make an entirely new show if they want. They have all sorts of survey data to inform their decision here.

Harm is a more complicated issue altogether.

Interpret as you will, but “Happily Ever After” was added back to the mix on Disney Hits on SiriusXD. You won’t hear Wishes or SpectroMagic playing…
because the only version of HEA released is single-length (2-3 minutes) and the only versions of Wishes or SpectroMagic released are full, 10+ minute mixes?

There was an after hours test of Enchantment at Magic Kingdom last night (5/19/2022) at around 11:30PM. Over the past few weeks they have been changing the pyrotechnics involved in the show almost every night. I managed to record the test show last night:

What are your thoughts about this test? What does it mean for Enchantment?

AFAIK these are just efforts to improve ratings but they still don’t intend to keep this show long term.

I’ll go with my prediction of HEA v2 with Encanto and Main Street projections coming 4/1/23 or 5/12/23….

An updated Wishes is also an option. They are actively trying to determine guest preference. As I said, they could even do a completely new show if they want.

I wonder what the membership of these boards would prefer?

I‘d hazard a guess that HEA is the leading candidate. I’d happily accept HEA or Wishes with new visuals, honestly. The new projectors, lasers, etc. would be incorporated.

If only Epcot had the luxury of pulling out an old firework cartridge, blowing on it, and starting it up again.

If HEA returns with "improvements", I just hope they don't replace Jeremy Irons.

And that reminds me of before Enchantment came out when I was absolutely certain the intro voice would be Mickey because it just seemed obvious with the 50th context. Silly me.

Fireworks are the least of their worries. The show itself is flawed.

The show lacks a soul like Harmonious. However, Harmonious does a whole lot more so you can (almost) look past it. Enchantment just feels like a playlist of random songs and literally nothing more. The projections overall are just poor when compared to HEA and that's without even looking at the craptastic main street projections (seriously, how are those ones so bad?!).

Just don't forget...
I ARE THE MAGIC!11!!1!!!!!!

The beginning and finale looked virtually the same as the regular DE showing during park hours.

They didn't even bother to switch out all the horsetails (which are being used as placeholders for normal shells) and the flying fishes in the finale for this supposed "test".

I think it's pretty certain that DE won't stay. Neither of the first two scenarios would surprise me. The third option (a new show) would surprise me as they have 2 options that are guaranteed to be a success and there is a risk of a new DE-like mess all over again.

Lately, I'm actually leaning more towards the Wishes route. I think they may keep HEA in their pocket for a much later date and allow it to age like a fine wine.

Wishes would restore so much good will with APs and long time guests that has been lost over the last 24 months.
