Even further back, remember when Disney's previous fireworks show "Fantasy In The Sky" had a special segment celebrating the resort's 25th Anniversary between 1996 till 1997.
Memories! Thanks for sharing.

Since somebody brought up Walt Disney. You know what could been really fitting for the fireworks show? Have the show play audio of Roy O Disney's "Dedication Speech" to Walt Disney World. And the projections would feature archived footage of the opening ceremony of the park.
Complete with this iconic image.

No way! They might run out of time for Luca if they did that.
I was hoping this would be more about the park itself, like the fireworks shows for Disneyland's 50th and Tokyo Disneyland's 35th.
Just another Disney movie clip show sounds pointless. HEA already does a good job of that.
Ironic given that this is for a celebration of their 50th anniversary.HEA doesn't incorporate all of Disney's most recent movies, which is apparently the point of this show.
so... just happily ever after againMore info from the DPB -
In “Disney Enchantment,” we join dreamers like Tiana, Miguel, Rapunzel, and brothers Ian & Barley from “Onward,” and we set out on an incredible journey with adventurers such as Moana, Raya, and Judy Hopps. Joe Gardner from Disney and Pixar’s “Soul” takes us into “the zone,” where we discover a whimsical world inspired by the style of legendary Disney artist Mary Blair and filled with beloved characters from classic stories like “Beauty and the Beast” and “Alice in Wonderland” to contemporary tales including “Luca” and “Wreck-It Ralph.” Everything builds to a climactic moment, as Tinker Bell takes flight, spreading shimmering gold pixie dust and empowering us all to believe in ourselves and the magic all around us.
“Disney Enchantment” features characters, moments, and music from dozens of Disney and Pixar animated films. The show takes us beyond the ordinary to a land of magic, where we’re swept up in a world of wonder filled with friendship, love and fun. Through it all, we’ll discover we only have to look within to find the power to believe and make dreams come true, because the magic was inside us all along!

‘Disney Enchantment’ – An All-New Spectacular at Magic Kingdom Park – Debuts Oct. 1 for Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration
As we previously announced, “Disney Enchantment,” an all-new nighttime spectacular, will debut in Magic Kingdom Park on Oct. 1, coinciding with the launch of "The World’s Most Magical Celebration." Today, I’m excited to share more detailsdisneyparks.disney.go.com
the "wishes" part in the beginning had IPs not featured at disneyland parkThere wasn't a single exclusively IP character in the show.
Forgot about that part. You are right there.the "wishes" part in the beginning had IPs not featured at disneyland park
Disneyland Forever (Disneyland's 60th Anniversary fireworks show) is also guilty of this.I was hoping this would be more about the park itself, like the fireworks shows for Disneyland's 50th and Tokyo Disneyland's 35th.

We'll probably end up with a quick sappy intro talking about the park, all sorts of IP for 15+ minutes, then a brief finale talking about the park again.Disneyland Forever (Disneyland's 60th Anniversary fireworks show) is also guilty of this.
The best parts for Disneyland Forever and World Of Color Celebrate is the projection of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse walking before forming the Walt statue during the finale. I wish there was a gif of that specific shot. Since that moment actually felt necessary. We'll probably end up with a quick sappy intro talking about the park, all sorts of IP for 15+ minutes, then a brief finale talking about the park again.
Disneyland Forever bothered me the most because it did that while purporting to be a celebration of Disneyland, but instead, it was a celebration of IP (as is everything from the parks these days).
