I'm ending my first week of Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. Started with Level 1 and I'm moving on to Level 2 next week. I also picked up the No More Trouble Zones DVD for wicked cheap so that's my "I'm running out of time!!" workout. :D

43 days to go til I'm at WDW...can't slow down now!

Went for a run, one lap around the park and a hill added in so we can get ready for the ramps in the ToT race. I went away to a camp a couple weeks ago as a counselor for kids with cancer, weighed myself when I got home for the first time in 2 months (I'm bad). Gained 15 stress pounds back, and I've gone down 4 of those since coming home between running and frisbee playing.

Now watching an Insanity infomercial. Oh if I had money!

Insanity is really good. Maybe you have a few friends that you could workout with and share the cost of the DVDs?

Tracey Mallet is a mean mean lady! She pretends to be nice but she's not. There's nothing like a new workout to put you in your place. For a workout with very little cardio it was really challenging. My arms were burning with 3 pound weight, its crazy! Its going to take awhile to get the form down and I'm not at all graceful but I'm going to try to fit it into my routine at least once a week. Its really long, but its broken down into sections so I may split it up a few times during the week rather than try to do the whole thing at once. As I get more familiar with the workout I can post a more detailed review if anyone is interested.

Oh, your opening line made me laugh!!

If it can be broken down in sections, I'll definitely consider this workout. In the meantime, I think I might purchase her beginner/express workout--at 35 minutes, it fits just right into my schedule.

They will also let you split it across 3 payments - $40 per time.

I think the only person who would consider it with me is Dan, and we're both looking more towards saving money for moving next year that we can't justify a lot of spending. Which is a good thing lol, but we still find things like this and are like we REALLY want it, but the argument just goes back and forth. :(

So I decided to skip on my Thursday running training this week because I spent 3 hours playing Ultimate Frisbee on Wednesday night, and then Dan and I went for a 3 hour hike yesterday (my legs are screaming in pain still haha). Mixing it up! :)

Also thinking it's about time to stop the soda intake... again. This is my biggest trouble, I love love LOVE soda, and I always manage to quit for a bit and then something happens, like a stomach cold, that brings either coke or ginger ale back in my life and it's downhill from there. But I think it's time to cut it out to get ready for Disney in just over 2 months!

Think how AMAZING that Disney fountain Coke will taste when you haven't had it for 2 months! I don't drink a TON of POP (haha) but I've been trying not to drink any lately but at Disney - all bets are off

Great idea - they are full of empty calories that do absolutely nothing for you, except weight gain.

I cut out soda/pop, etc. YEARS ago, when I read that carbonated beverages interfere with your bones' absorption of calcium. Don't want to wind up hunched over when I'm old. Nowadays, I figure if I'm going to have calories from sugar in a glass, I'd rather have a glass of wine with my dinner!! :D

That's a great illustration, I wish I could "love" your post as opposed to just liking it.

Its just such a waste! If I'm going to consume that amount of sugar you'd better believe its going to be mixed in to some kind of baked good or chocolate not a sticky beverage that blows me up like a baloon an makes me belch! Lol

I saw a statistic recently that said that the majority of calories in the average Americans diet comes from sugar sweetened beverages. That's just crazy! On average we get more calories from that garbage than from actual food sources. It's a major problem!

I used to consume about 2 2 liter bottles of pop a week on average plus 3 or 4 glasses if I went out to eat at a restaurant. I all but gave it up about 6 years ago and totally gave it up 2 years ago. I can't even stand the stuff now.

You really had a HUGE turnaround on that! A big transformation.

Not only is Pop so unhealthy for you - but that carbonation fills you up. So by drinking water...I have more room for yummy FOOD! Thats why at Disney - while I'll drink Pop with a snack - I like water with dinner so I eat more food.

I think that's counter productive of the "Disney Diet" and all but I'd much rather my calories and stomach room be filled with Disney food rather than pop.

Disney diet officially started back up today. Meaning it's gonna be tough being at the movie theater tonight for Batman and not having my Coke Zero... but Disney will be worth it. ;)

You should really just start finding recipes for me to try... I have so much trouble on my own, and then you always seem to find the best ones! lol...

Got another one for ya!
http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/05/red-white-and-blueberry-cheesecake.html <-- SOOO good! And really easy to make. I have 2 cupcakes with strawberries/blueberries and fat free Redi Whip.
I also found this one...haven't tried it yet but it sounds amazing! http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/03/strawberry-swirl-cheesecake.html
This one popped up on my reader this morning...I think I'm going to try it sometime this week for dinner. It looks super tasty and pretty easy to make: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/07/summer-vegetables-with-sausage-and.html

I used the Shred DVDs awhile back...man did I work up a sweat. I like JM, but I HATE that she called that DVD "No More Trouble Zones." I've heard it's a good DVD, but that name makes me cringe.

I have lost 43 pounds since march and I wanted to loose 50 by the time i go to Disney aug 10 I hope i can do it!

Wow, great job! I hope you get to your goal!!

I LOVE Coca-cola, but I've really cut down in the last year or so. I used to have 1-2 cans per day, and now I have maybe 1-2 per month. I'm sure I'll have some in Disney in January! :D

WOW. Good job giving it up!

So...haven't been around in awhile. How's everyone doing?!

April-June wasn't really noteworthy for me, hence no posting in this thread. I was just super unmotivated - gained some here, lost some there. I took a much-needed vacation from work (husband and I went to Chicago for a weekend and other than that I just sat on my butt at home...GLORIOUS). When I got back I decided it was go-time...no more excuses. I recorded my lowest recent weight June 7 (which I know, because I am lame and keep track of this in a spreadsheet complete with a line graph...nerd?) , then gained some of it back, and as of today I'm almost a pound below what I was on 6/7...and almost to 25 lost since Christmas! Woohoo!

I'm still not sure what my ultimate goal will be. I have a number in my head (what it says on my driver's licence - which probably was never correct  :p ) that is a little less than 10 pounds from where I am now, but I am really not sure if it's sustainable in the long run. I'm trying not to think about it too much though, because I feel like if I get caught up in trying to get to a certain number I'll drive myself nuts/disappoint myself. But overall, things are good. Yay!

where is that slurp smiley when I need it?! Shannon, those look DELIC. I'm gonna have to try them (and maybe share successes haha).

I'm determined to make sure not to have that extra soda/sodium in me. I got sick (again), so Ginger Ale is still my best friend, but hopefully I can cut it out this weekend since I'm finally feeling better again.
