Yeah, the Nemo painting really didn't fly with me.....but the rest is awesome!
I saw that mug too---which is weird, Etsy usually doesn't allow non-handmade things to be sold on there.

OK---I need the help of my crafty Disney friends. My best friend and her husband are just as Disney fanatical as the rest of us, and they are expecting their first child soon. Her husband is obsessed with the Haunted Mansion, and jokingly asked me to make a "Baby's first trip on the Haunted Mansion" onsie. I want to surprise them with a gag gift of that sort---problem is, I can't think of anything cute to put on it. I don't want it to look too gothic or scary, but I want it to show the essence of the HM. I also don't know what to put on it word-wise. I don't want to say "First trip on the Haunted Mansion", because this kid is going to be going on it many many many times!

I'm hoping to get some suggestions for what kind of image and text to put on it (maybe something about how fanatical the baby's dad is?)

Thanks in advance for any help!

Everyone is very talented! The only Disney things I make are drawings. I can draw any character or person. I also made a couple of holiday drawings on very large paper and I hang them in my classroom. I decorate cakes and have made a few Disney cakes.

Miss M- I was hoping you'd see the thread and respond--I knew you'd have a good idea! I love it! I've never seen those pins before---all three ghosts would be adorable on the front of a onesie---now any ideas for any text? I'm thinking I could do it in the HM font.

Aw thanks! :D Text...hrm.... Seems like you could maybe play off the "...but there's room for a thousand, any volunteers?" part of the spiel. Something like "Newest Ghost" or "Newest Volunteer" or something. Hmm....

Or maybe make them the "Grim Gaga Ghosts" or "Grim Googoo Ghosts" (instead of "Grim Grinning Ghosts?")

Let me think about it some more but I think the Cuties ghosts would be really cute on a onesie!

LOVE IT! The "newest ghost" is my favorite, but that might be a little creepy on a newborn...lol. I do like "newest volunteer" though---and it goes along with the "give a day get a day"...hahaha.

Thank you! Now I have the inspiration jump I need to get started!

I wanted to wait until after the baby shower was over to post this - but it was a big hit!
Thanks for your help with the ideas---I ended up making a small water color painting, and then painted the same image onto a onesie.

Here is the painting:

and in its frame:

The onesie:

the picture with the onesie:

I also appliqued some Disney fabric onto the left over onesies to make little "mock ties"

Wow! Those are fantastic!!

I would love to hear the cast reactions or guest reactions to the onesie!!! Fantastic job!

Thanks! I was deemed my friend's husband "favorite person ever"---the highest of compliments if you ask me!

My friend asked if she should carry around buisness cards for the cast members and guests who are going to ask where she got it....lol.

Years ago, I made a Mickey Backpack (I should really take a picture of it and post it here). It was wonderful....padded shoulder straps, water bottle pocket, zipper closure, small pocket on the front, and it resembled Mickey. I had CM's left and right asking me where I bought it, and they were floored when I told them that I made it. Hint Hint Disney---hire me! Haha

I just discovered this thread. Lots o' really cool stuff in here. I'm going to show this to the rest of the family and see if anything catches our eye as a group. We can usually make it through a project if we all work together.
