Disney considering making more themed mod resort rooms (with pics and proof)

I'd gladly volunteer my bedroom if they need to make up a prototype HM room! You'd have to wonder how often these rooms would need to be repaired/refurbished though...

I think the rooms look tacky. Keep them in the Value & Moderates please. We don't need this type of room at the deluxe level.

its a good idea.. haunted mansion would fit in perfectly well with port orleans, but these designs are too cartoonish.. make it look like the actual ride.. cobwebs and all, and then you are on to something

I don't want to be staring at glowing footprints when I'm trying to go to sleep. Just sayin'. Oh, and making the HM room "just like the ride" sounds like a horrible idea.

Also, I honestly don't see the haunted mansion rooms going over well with young kids. Can you imagine young children trying to sleep in that room?

I love the idea of a HM room, but I have to admit reading about footprints on the ceiling and things appearing in the mirror creep me out a bit. I can just imagine what they would do to kids. Obviously, I'm sure it's been thought about and will be done in a way as to not scare kids.

Is that a little mouse hole in the Royal Room? How cute!

I LOVE the princess room as well! The little mouse hole is adorable. One of my favorite little Disney touches was the little Gus and Jacques statues watching over the foyer at Cinderella's Royal Table. Are they even there anymore?

What about a resort with four main areas that are themed to the four parks. All the rooms would be based on rides from that spacific resort. That sounds like a great idea in my book. What do you think?
I'm all for it. That sounds like a great idea. How about Pixar related rooms like Toy Story or Monsters. Expedition Everest, The Tiki Room, Rock N Roller coaster, Indy, Star Tours, and even make a select few rooms look like some of the popular restaurants like Fifties Prime Time, Sci-Fi, Nine Dragons, etc....
Just thinkin' outloud here people.

One thing I do hope they change is the lights....I'd rather not have tigger looking lions but the gargoyle molds that are in the stretching room or the skull hand holding the torches...One mystery remains is..What would the Bathroom look like?.....:lookaroun

Just finished the survey. It did ask if each room was worth an additional $30.00 per night. Most of the questions were pretty basic: What do you like? What don't you like? How many people in your party would be excited about staying, etc.

All the new rooms are off the chart! I'd love to try them all - especially the Pirates themed one! And then the Haunted Mansion one.....well and then the Princess one LOL :p

$30.00 per night!?! Not for me! It sounds like these rooms would be in standard locations as well (not preferred). As much as I like the decor I wouldn't pay that much more a night for a room and still be "far away" from pools, lobbies, etc.

Yeah, I'd look at $30/night and probably not do it. It is possible to score the special rooms with a discount, tho. My brother went last month and had Pirate room at CBR that he booked cheap.

My first impression of the Princess room was not so good because I don't like the deep colors they used. I guess I'm just too girly with my pink fixation. LOL! I went back and spent some time with the pics and that room has totally grown on me. It's all the details! Cogsworth! On the shelf, the enchanted rose! The little foot stool is the little dog/stool from BatB. And, of course, the mouse hole. Those touches totally make the room. I would sooooo want to stay in one of those!

The HM room would be awesome! I'd love to stay in one of those rooms! I think the whole family would get a kick out of that. Again, love love love the details! The moving book case to access the bathroom is just awesome. Very cool stuff. I have to agree with the other poster(s), the cartoonish scale of everything makes the room tip towards fun & whimsical vs. spooky. Love it!

For anyone taking these surveys, its always important to say you like the rooms but not at a big price. If they see people are willing to pay x amount then they'll want x amount plus more and more. Don't let them get too outrageous on costs, especially for something they should have been doing already anyway.

They do look really cool though. I'd pick any of those over a plain room any day, as long as it wasn't too much money. Its funny to see the negative comments on here about the rooms themselves. If you're staying on Disney property why wouldn't you want/expect over the top themeing all over?

I think the concept is great, especially for the HM. The CGI pics make it appear a bit cartoonish, so it will be interesting to see how these ideas translate to the real world. I am a huge HM fan but I'm not sure how I feel about the idea of something appearing randomly in a mirror. That might be a bit too creepy for my sleepy time.... I do love that Disney is attempting to incorporate new ideas into the Disney experience.

The negativity comes with he territory... Disney does nothing, fanbois get y.... Disney does something, fanbois get y...

I would kill for that comforter with the wallpaper pattern from the hallway.
There are several websites out there where you could send them the pattern and have it made for a reasonable price, as well as wallpaper, too.

Man, I hope these become a reality. I can't believe they don't do this more often, with nods to great classic attractions and such. These look amazing. I'm assuming the HM rooms would be at POFQ. They'd fit in nicely there. The princess rooms could be in the Riverside mansion buildings, I guess.

Yeah I know, its like that with most everything online but most big Disney fans go to WDW for the themeing. Now they want to really theme rooms and people are already complaining. I don't think they'll do every room like this, so what's the big deal?

I just don't understand, I know some fans get y but I don't get why they get that way. If they don't like the rooms, don't stay in them. Save some money and stay in a plain room. It'll make it easier for those of us who like these rooms to get them, I guess.
