No, they not. The building would have to be expanded. At that point the whole justification for this location is pretty much lost, saving time and money by reusing existing infrastructure. There's no way this track doesn't change or get extended. They're definitely going to change it up a bit or a lot.
Do any of the engineers on here know if the boats can be increased in size while in the same flume?
Do we really want them messing around with new boats following the drowning fleet over at Pirates of the Caribbean?Do any of the engineers on here know if the boats can be increased in size while in the same flume?
Correct. The show-scenes have been gutted but the ride path and structural walls remain. At least that is what I heard. Someone with more knowledge on this, feel free to correct me.
Maelstrom was 3 minutes. Where are they going to add these 2 extra minutes you speak of?
There was some space wasted on the front and back of the viking ships. In theory, couldn't they keep the same length and add another row?Looking at a video of the ride, one problem area would be where the boat changes direction, it appears to just fit. It also would depend on how right the curves are.
More people would impact how high the boat floats. There was some space wasted on the front and back of the viking ships. In theory, couldn't they keep the same length and add another row?
Well thankfully Disney hasn't had any problems with buoyancy of their boats lately.More people would impact how high the boat floats.
The extra 2 minutes will be the boats stacked up at the end from way more riders then "Spirit of Norway" was designed to handleThey will force 2 more minutes of "Let it Go" before you unload...
Seeing as none of that has been confirmed or denied It means nothing. So a few questions
1. does this mean pixar land and star wars land are on hold?
2. does this mean all countries in EPCOT are going to get movie makeovers or this just strictly going to be a ride and not a complete country makeover?

Agreed, but I have no doubts that Norzen will draw ridiculous crowds (in the short term at least) regardless of the attraction's quality which at the very least won't hinder an effort of putting more movie based attractions in WS. If there even was any caution over putting it in Norway this time around, next time the powers that be will just say 'look at Frozen in Norway' as a success story and not blink an eye toward similar plans.2. This really wasn't a case of "we want to makeover Norway, what should be put there", instead is was "Where can we quickly integrate more Frozen content", so I don't think you can automatically conclude that they will be looking to do something similar in other pavillions. Of course that cannot be ruled out either. The balance between Norway and Frozen in the pavillion is still yet to be seen.
No, nothing is on hold (for Star Wars. Cannot confirm or deny on Pixar, or if Star Wars is a land) and No.So a few questions

Heh. Improving. Funny.I like the way WDW is always expanding and improving the parks. I'm looking forward to the new Frozen ride and I like the way they upgraded the Lumberjack show in Canada. In the future we'll have the expanded theater at Soarin' as well.
