Disney confirms 'Frozen' makeover coming to Epcot's Norway Pavilion

Tell you what, I can be open minded, maybe I DID mis-understand the posts here.

So please if you could explain to me the facts. Just the facts please. Not your opinion.

so to be clear - can't say the movie is not about Norway, as first it isn't but it is based on nordic history...not just the danish story.

You could reach for "the original vision of Epcot" but then again, we already have movie characters in M&G in Epcot, and I am pretty sure we have a ride in WS already based on comic characters. So this does not change the vision of Epcot, it just continues it.

If I am missing any other "fact" please enlighten me.

All of this is just opinion. As stated multiple times, if you look, I get why those don't feel it fits. I also agree with those that state the ride would be a better fit at MK( or some have said DHS which I also agree with).

So please share with me what facts were given, and let me revisit my point of view.

For the DISNEY IS PERFECT crowd, hostility is anything which does not support every little thing Disney does, and does not state how awesome everything Disney does is. Hostility, to them, is someone daring to question Disney.

Ignore is a wonderful function.

WORLD SHOWCASE IS ABOUT THE REAL WORLD and the culture/history/tales of DIFFERENT EXISTING COUNTRIES.

How is grouping a select group of people being hostile? If you think that is hostile, you need thicker skin.

Oh and questioning your opinion, and asking you to support your opinion isn't being hostile either. It is called dialogue, debate. You are free to post your opinion here, but when someone questions you on it, that isn't them being hostile toward you. They just want to know your side of things. it's when the defenders, and even some of the people against, who refuse to support their opinions, or engage in a mature debate, that the so-called "hostility" starts, and it is usually started by the person who is being questioned because 1) they don't like to be questioned; 2) they hate it when Disney is questioned cause to them Disney is perfect and can do no wrong; 3) they cannot support their opinion with any rational thoughts or facts, but only IT IS DISNEY SO THEREFORE IT IS PERFECT, or MY KIDS WOULD LOVE IT; or 4) DISNEY CAN DO NO RIGHT THEREFORE EVERYTHING THEY DO AUTOMATICALLY STINKS!!! When they are then shunned, they take that as hostility.

As to the fact Arendelle is not a real world, yes that is very true. However, the ride is based on Frozen, a move and characters yes? And the movie was loosely based on the danish original story, but with clear nordic ties. Last i checked, this was not Arendelle land, bit was a Frozen ride.

But you DO make a great point, Arendelle is NOT a real country. Kudos.

I posted earlier a link with plenty of photos and facts about how Frozen and Norway are connected. So evidence on that side does exist.

We have no kids yet, so who knows if they will like it.

But I'm not in the pro Frozen in Norway ride camp.

It should be in the MK.

But I'm also certainly not in the: it has absolutely no connection, not even a little bit camp either.

World showcase was and still is...about showcasing other parts of the world. As stated I get that.
Love the last point as well, but i think you will get some push back on that.

Again, i don't want Arendelle world. Not even sure I want Frozen in WS, but I am not dead set against it. What I want is change, and the opportunity to expand WS to also have some draw for younger kids to get exposed to those areas to me is a positive, as is the Perry the Platypus game, and the Three Amigos.

Does it make Frozen also linked to Canada and US?

honestly, the only thing that I see that sort of links Frozen with Norway, is the stave church style buildings, the "castle" and the clothing.

Story wise..and set wise.. nothing..pure fantasy. hence it should have been at MK. So we agree on that part.

When did I mention support? Part of your issues here are you put words in peoples' mouths, or in this case, posts. No where did I say anything about gaining someone's support of your opinion. Your problem here is you don't like to have your opinions questioned. That is obvious. You are part of a discussion forum, where people will question the opinion you are free to post. You are playing the victim card here. And that's pathetic. Either support your opinion by stating facts as to why you formed your opinion, or stop posting your opinions. It's not about gaining support for your opinion by someone else. However, it is about supporting your own opinion when a member here tries to debate you. You been failing to do that. And when someone calls you out for it, you run and scream they are hostile. Again, playing the victim.

My responce post was showing frustration for a few simple reasons.

A) you want to engage in a conversation on this thread, want to be taken seriously. YET YOU REFUSE to read the thread contents.
B) Then you want it demand this information to be sponfeed to you. (aka you being childish)
C) You seem to try to pull a trap by demanding to be spoonfed with the information or setting a
"the blame is on you" if I dont put it.

This is exactly the behavior that I, CaptainChaos and many others have experienced. Hence why we are FED UP with the same cycle ad-nauseam. Because we know the outcome already.
