Beyond time and budgets, if we assume the original design intent of World Showcase still holds :ducks:, no single country was ever supposed to have more total acreage available to it than another, partly to avoid disputes and partly to express the optimistic ideal of parity among nations.

I admit I haven't perused through all 228 pages of this thread, but sort of assumed there'd be exterior construction pictures to see by now. Either that means exterior facades are not changing at all, or at least only superficially, or that nothing has started yet?? Not sure how I'd feel about no facade changes at all. On the one hand, at least there'd still be a cursory cultural relevance to the *Norway* pavilion. On the other hand, if they're going to do it, I'd rather not feel like it was just shoehorned-in and half-hassed.

Anyway, I'm sure everyone has talked every angle of this - apologies

The exterior look and design of the pavilion is not suppose to change, it will look as it does now. Except for signage of course etc. But the architecture is not changing.

On an earlier post about this project on the Orlando Theme Parks News website, it was confirmed that the length of this attraction was being reconfigured or extended. The site compared it to how imagineers design long indoor rides (at DL for example), using every bit of square footage inside the building/structure. Will be interested to see if this holds true.

I'd be surprised if that happens. Aside from reconfiguring the load/unload to open up the current load area into a new scene, I imagine that any track extension into another part of the building would add only a few dozen feet at most. That would be very expensive, especially if they were to expand into an elevated space (like the Norway lounge) that wasn't designed to hold up a flume full of water, and would probably require a lot of structural reinforcement. At some point you have to wonder when it just would've been more feasible/economical to just build a new ride.

Well, I could see them using the theatre space as a finale scene, with the ride vehicles sort of arching around it.
