All drains lead to the merch.No. They bought it to make toys, video games, TV shows and merchandise.
Theme park attractions probably fits somewhere in the bottom half of the top 20 reasons to buy Star Wars.

I think the "target audience" is whichever one best fits his argumentWhy does there even need to be a target audience? Can they not just build rides with the goal of entertaining the widest audience possible? I would really like to know who the "target audience" was for rides like Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion and numerous other examples that I could list here.
Then use your computer a to save yourself a lot of time an money and just watch youtube videos of your favorite attractions and visit WDW virtually. Its the same thing, right?Today you are able to teach and show so much from your own computer. It does require significant effort, just as if I were doing so in Epcot. But I don't have to pay to see the history or culture that Disney wants me or my kids to see.

Or even better, just watch those movies you want to relive. The Disney Movies Anywhere app is also handy. Then use your computer a to save yourself a lot of time an money and just watch youtube videos of your favorite attractions and visit WDW virtually. Its the same thing, right?
They didn't buy the Star Wars IP just to make movies.
I'm just tired of people pretending epcot is something that it's not. Perhaps with the change to frozen more people will visit the WS and be inspired to visit and experience the real thing.
After some research, yep sure seems bookings are up because of frozen.

Of course they wanted to make a Star Wars Land. Just.... Well, read these and you'll see what happened.
What exactly IS Epcot then?
So am I supposed to lie and say FP+ doesn’t work for me, just to prove a point that I'd prefer Disney had spent the money in other ways?Everyone who loves the MagicBands and goes on about how wonderful the Disney-cuffs are, everyone who gives a positive guest satisfaction survey about MyMagic+... they all need to realise they've given up Star Wars in exchange for that.
As much as I hate discussing rumors as if they are 'real', I'm not sure that you saw the second link in that post. It basically said that a delay in 'Star Wars Land' is due to TPTB simply wanting the new movie to be released first, not that it has anything to do with MM+.Everyone who loves the MagicBands and goes on about how wonderful the Disney-cuffs are, everyone who gives a positive guest satisfaction survey about MyMagic+... they all need to realise they've given up Star Wars in exchange for that.
Ambitious...but in 18 months? At WDI speed?
If the new Stars Wars movie is a dud like Lone Ranger, then I think we can pretty much forget any Star Wars land coming to any of the Disney parks. On the other hand if Star Wars is a hit then a makeover of the American Adventure won't be far behind. As much as I hate discussing rumors as if they are 'real', I'm not sure that you saw the second link in that post. I suspect this is close to correct, except that PP's line is in part due to low capacity, which Frozen won't suffer from (presuming they use the current ride system, which I believe they will). I'm still of the view that Disney should wait at least 10-15 years before turning a new property into a major attraction in the parks, to see if it really will have staying power (Stitch, I'm looking at you). While I love Carsland, I think that one was a little too fast. So, I think a Frozen ride is premature. That said, I suspect Disney will win the bet of Frozen having staying power and being "timeless".Whether people like it or not, Frozen will have legs. Especially inside a Disney theme park. Disney princesses are timeless inside a park, on top of Frozen being a very successful film. We shouldn't get so jaded we throw out reality. Frozen will probably be EPCOT's Peter Pan. Yesterday there was a 2 hour wait, while splash Mountain had a 15 minute wait. It makes no sense.
Perhaps you should form an S-Corp, buy a bunch of Disney stock and force them to make Epcot what you want of it.What exactly IS Epcot then? And if you're in favor of the cartooning of it, what will people be inspired to visit if more changes like this occur? Are you inspired to visit any of the fairy tail worlds in Fantasy Land? Does Delta offer service to Neverland or the old west?

A mall with a science centre?
Since opening in 1982 World Showcase has added one ride, bringing its grand total to two. It has 15 full service restaurants though, which is probably why I don't think of it the same way I do other amusement parks.
Then in turned into a education themed park that was slowly made less relevant by society and technology. Now it's a theme park with some educational aspects still surviving but headed away from them slowly for better or for worse.
