Disney and Universal working on Marvel deal for Florida?

As a side note, the fact they left out a post ending credits teaser...is telling. Even the writers and directors are getting tired of it.

Joss said that he felt that the way the film ended they shouldn't do a post-credits sequence. I think that he is getting a bit worn out on it, which is why this is his last (for now) Marvel movie. The guys from Cap 2 and 3 are doing the next Avengers, which is a good move.

No Universal cannot change themes or add any new rides to marvel island. Everything would have to go through Disney who will automatically deny. In 2010 universal pitched an Iron Man attraction for IOA and when they went for approval they were immediately told no way Jose.
Or maybe, just maybe, Universal's concept did not meet the criteria to gain reasonable approval.

Actually Universal did not pitch an Ironman ride in 2010. It was 2013 and started the ball rolling that we see now. They were never denied.

This brings me to something else that I think people misinterpret when they see the contract. Approval is not going to be an all or nothing situation where Universal asks once they've done all the work. It's going to be a back and forth dialogue during the whole process. If Disney was able to push a No just because it would be at the very beginning when the idea is started, when there is no reasonable reason to deny.

Sounds like Summer/Fall 2017 is going to be quite busy for Universal!! Potentially 2 E-tickets between both parks opening in the same year.

Is the MSHI revamp that mysterious coaster project others on OU have mentioned? (Project 611)

No. That is for kidzone and is rumored to be a TMNT themed version of Space Fantasy. And it is rumored to have been swapped with F&F in the production schedule.

2016: Kong/possibly F&F by Nov-Dec 2016/Sapphire Falls/CityWalk revamp completion
2017: WonderSea/beginnings of MSHI revamp
2018: completion of MSHI revamp/TMNT family coaster

Is that roughly the kind of timeline to expect?

Actually it is worth noting that it's not Disney that needs to approve anything. It's Marvel. And it is illegal for Marvel to tell Disney what Uni is up to.

so what am I missing? Doesn't Disney own Marvel now? How it is illegal for Marvel to tell the company that employees them of their doings?
