Those posters don’t like the way the company has evolved and want it to fail.I don't get it (I do, but I don't).
Thunderbolts* actually appears to be good now, so what exactly are we hoping is achieved if it does poorly? Clearly there remains an appetite for everything they do to bomb out of a few posters.
Correct me if I’m wrong (since I had to Google it) but doesn’t “being shopped” mean they have a script and are trying to find someone to bankroll it?For those worried about Rachel Zegler's future movie prospects she has already lined up her next role co-starring alongside Marisa Tomei -

Rachel Zegler to Star Alongside Marisa Tomei in Comedy Drama ‘She Gets It From Me’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Embankment Films is selling the film, which marks Zegler's first after Snow White and sees her play the daughter of Tomei's anarchic birth mothervariety.com
Being shopped typically (at least as I'm aware) means they are looking for a distribution partner. There are at least two production companies already attached, so I believe that means they already have most if not all financing. Just need someone to distribute it.Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t “being shopped” mean they have a script and are trying to find someone to bankroll it?
Until a studio, production company, or financial backer decides it’s worth risking their money on the movie it’s just an idea.
They sounds a lot closer to happening than my Google search did.Being shopped typically (at least as I'm aware) means they are looking for a distribution partner. The Variety article has 3311 and Seven Elephants attached as production companies, they are both known for producing indy movies. They sounds a lot closer to happening than my Google search did.
I understand the point and comparison you're trying to make, but pro athletes are different, they have a fairly short career as it is and so any hit on or off the field will affect their career.Seems like every time I turn on ESPN this week (for hockey) they are talking about Shedeur Sanders, everyone seems to agree he has talent and potential but his off the field issues are harming his career options… I think Zegler is the Shedeur of the acting world, if she can get her public image problems resolved I think she’ll be fine, if she can’t though, and another movie of hers has offscreen issues, I don’t think any level of talent is going to salvage her career.
just not enough broad appeal in America to lead blockbusters
Zegler has proven to be divisive
Fourth: Zegler’s comments are not an a concern among the average person…. She is not Kevin Spacey or R Kelly….there are more pressing Issues these days…. I know the only place I ever see Zegler’s opinions talked about in real life is in this little internet bubble…for now.
…for now.
First: she said what I’m guessing most actors think.
Second: no one will remember this in 10 years.
Third: as the popularity of her target continues to wane, her comments will hit differently.
It’s indicative of the state of the brand…that’s all.I don't get it (I do, but I don't).

I agree that Stitch will be this summers big hit, or the next big hit since Minecraft was already a big hit, but among my friends Thunderbolts has pretty good buzz already, I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up in the $700 million range. It’s indicative of the state of the brand…that’s all.
If it’s a decent movie…it will do fine.
If it’s not…it won’t be accepted. It’s kinda where their franchises are…
I still say stitch will crush though…however
The trailers for Stitch are actually winning me over. I've never seen the original. Might just get me to the theater.I agree that Stitch will be this summers big hit, or the next big hit since Minecraft was already a big hit, but among my friends Thunderbolts has pretty good buzz already, I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up in the $700 million range.
I’m getting a Guardians vibe from the trailers and that type of comedy superhero mix has done well for the MCU in the past.
We’ll see in a couple weeks, it will be nice to have something new from Disney to talk about.
Not sure how you mean “filler.” From the reviews, Thunderbolts is the rare MCU film that is ABOUT something, with a unique vision from the writer and director. As to connections to the larger storyline, word is the film is very important.Thunderbolts: I don't really know what to make of it. I'm familiar with a few of the characters. Might be a filler MCU movie. Even that should be a decent popcorn flick.

I kinda have the same thoughts as Tony. It's a movie that has a bunch of second or third level characters in it. I look at the pictures and I'm like, "Oh it's Bucky and the other Black Widow girl and who is the big guy with the beard again? Am I supposed to know who all these other people are?"Not sure how you mean “filler.” From the reviews, Thunderbolts is the rare MCU film that is ABOUT something, with a unique vision from the writer and director. Stitch is probably the best example of how a Disney property can dominate via brand saturation…The trailers for Stitch are actually winning me over. I've never seen the original. Might just get me to the theater.

We've been doing the movie theater a little more regularly lately. It really has gotten expensive. At least I can use my Chase Disney Visa rewards points to pay for tickets to Disney movies.
Went to see The Amateur on Tuesday night. It was the only thing that seemed interesting. It was good, probably could have watched it at home, but it was basically "date night." I think what kept it interesting was the main guy was not a trained assassin, expert military guy, or anything else (hence the title.) It was not over the top big booms and what not, more clever ways of getting revenge for the murder of his wife. It was the less action-y action flick. Better than "Taken," I thought.
It’s filler because it’s B charactersNot sure how you mean “filler.” From the reviews, Thunderbolts is the rare MCU film that is ABOUT something, with a unique vision from the writer and director. As to connections to the larger storyline, word is the film is very important.

In 1989…a visionary named “Al gore” invented the internetWhy would you need to know who characters are before seeing a movie? If it's doing its job, you'll learn enough to know them by watching it.
I didn't say I did. I said that was the reaction I had when I saw pictures of the movie. Why would you need to know who characters are before seeing a movie? If it's doing its job, you'll learn enough to know them by watching it.
