WB is suppose to be sitting on another Loony Tunes movie called Coyote vs ACME. I hope that one gets a theatric run.
I thought there was some underlying reason it couldn't, but maybe it will find a way.

My son says it was tax write off. It might be a rights issue like the original Fantastic Four movie from the 90s.I thought there was some underlying reason it couldn't, but maybe it will find a way.

I'd be willing to bet the rides with Snow White are infinitely more appealing to modern day audiences than the original movie. It’s the main event ride in Disneyworld Fantasy land. Anyone who has gone to fantasyland in DW knows the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
At DisneyWorld, Cinderella castle illustrates your point, Ariel has an incredible attraction and so does the story of Snow White. Mine train is a highlight in fantasyland. The story of Snow White is alive and well… no reason it shouldn’t do 600 million. There should be a built in audience to see this movie.I don’t mean to diminish Snow, she’s a very solid mid tier princess. But I think Little Mermaid and Lion King are both considerably larger modern franchises. Along with Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Moana and certainly Frozen.
I agree with @Animaniac93-98 she exists in the similar level as Cinderella. Maybe even a tiny step below, but the secondary characters and villain of the movie both are above Cinderellas secondary cast. Not in terms of how the original movie holds up, but in terms of the princess status. I just think of when the company chooses to do a parade, I’d even expect Cindy slightly more than Snow.
Agree, it’s the ride that keeps the story alive in the minds of Disney fans. Who doesn’t enjoy seeing the shadows of the Seven Dwarfs singing “Heigh-Ho” as we exit the mine?I'd be willing to bet the rides with Snow White are infinitely more appealing to modern day audiences than the original movie.
I hope it does well because that means they likely made a good movie, but nothing about a Snow White movie sounds appealing.
It would have to be significantly different from the original to make it an interesting movie for current audiences. If it’s a good story and people love the leads then this movie should hit 600 million.
Sound track is solid and music brings people back.
I agree… in fact it’s of my opinion all the live action movies should be different then the original… at least expand on the story a bitIt would have to be significantly different from the original to make it an interesting movie for current audiences.
The underlying reason is that Zaslav is a terrible person. The film is a pure tax write-off despite a star cast and phenomenal test screenings.I thought there was some underlying reason it couldn't, but maybe it will find a way.
Thank you for explaining why changes/additions were needed in the remake.Snow White was historically significant but in no way shape or form is ideal for modern audiences.

Oh…because as always there’s a high amount of twist on thisIf it's not about Disney killing careers, why are we talking about it?
Are we still trying to do victory laps on a sequel that had a $900,000,000 drop in box office?Dune 2 enjoying its last weekend as the 6th highest grossing film of 2024.

Except a theorem is a statement that has been proven true, which this has not.Oh…because as always there’s a high amount of twist on this
Since I made the comment…I’ll tell you exactly what it meant:
Disney has has some very high profile movies/franchises in the last Number of years where they cast younger female obscure actresses into the central roles…and when those movies become criticized…the actors seem to not have a lot of opportunities afterward.
It wasn’t about Rachel zeigler at all…but a movie that had been pounded to this level could hurt her. Not that she has done herself any favors with her comments at all.
Just a theorem…it wasn’t meant to be long winded lectured…but it’s par for the course. That’s the game we play
Correct…thesis is the right word. I misspoke…just as you missed the off ramp to not continue to twist and shout at the windExcept a theorem is a statement that has been proven true, which this has not.
What you have is a theory, and a conspiracy one at that. And the only proof you have is "they haven't booked another large franchise", which as discussed is not the end all be all of Hollywood talent, especially young talent.
Or maybe just realize that you stating an exaggerated claim, even if a "thesis", isn't going to go unchallenged. Especially when its easily proven to be false.Correct…thesis is the right word. I misspoke…just as you missed the off ramp to not continue to twist and shout at the wind
