Disney against adults?

I'm a little late to the party here, but I really don't think it has anything to do with the costumes... you can just restrict anyone over 12 from buying a costume. The fact that adults can go to the pirates league shows that you can have your hair/makeup done and still not be mistaken for an official Disney character.

I really think it's due to limited space. I understand the OP found openings around their trip, but for the most part BBB can be pretty impossible to get, especially in the MK. I totally agree with Disney not wanting to book up their limited space with adults and having to turn away the little girls that it was really built for.

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.
Ok, so let's not have our hair done and be with our kids and spend our money at BBB. And as many have said, they wouldn't look like that, and my wife does not either, its just to be with kids and do it together,. but why then is it ok to spend money on those ridiculous hats that do draw attention oneself? WDWpromotes that. buy a captain jack sparow hat to look like a pirate,. It's only one thing, and we have moved on, but what is going to be next?
Doesn't seem like you have moved on
But seriously why not do as a lot of posters have done here and spend time at one of the many spa's that are on property.you would probably get more for your money and be able to spend a full daughter/mother day together .

Because then there would be no train left on the p&m tracks....

Best why to get the OP to move on is to stop posting. The OP isn't going to change their mind because people here don't agree.

Right, its not THE reason, but it is definitely A reason for it.
There are creeps everywhere and yes I'm sure this helps prevent. But not in this thread. That is taking the extreme as this is about female group wanting thier hair done.

I would be more likely to agree to the BBB policy if Disney would hear my request, keep those under 12 out of the signature dining after 8pm. LOL

It's not about pedicures or nails, it is about spending time with your girls just getting your hair done. That is it! When did being a kid become such an offense?
if that is the case, cant you go to the MS barber shop. As for Disney is making a stand against adults and their money..... I am happy that disney has made a decision that is not based on money and instead on what is good for the kids.

Yes, Disney is actively trying to drive adults away. The change at BBB is only the beginning.
As we all know very well, five to ten year olds have the amount of disposable income that is required to visit Disney.
Well, unless those little princesses can go by themselves, targeting the kids does the opposite of driving adults away. It requires them to be there! Remember the new "by yourself limitation" that was just announced recently.

That said, I do believe that part of the magic for young girls is having something special, just for them. OP and his wife may feel that they will not enjoy their time there if they don't share every stinking moment together but that is only because they have forgotten what it is like to be a kid. Oh, yes, they are in complete denial about that...because basically they do enjoy the time together, but, they enjoy the time being catered to as much if not more.

This has been the silliest, but also one of the funniest threads on here in quite awhile. It does, however, clearly show just how impossible it is to make everyone happy. My father used to say..."You'd complain if they hung you with a new rope". Never was exactly sure what that meant, I'm sure some sort of sarcasm, but it did serve to point out the ability we have as humans to get all up in knots about the absolute wrong things. :)

Give me a reason why it was allowed before, and not now? That simple. If we got ressies before. What prompted the change? A good explanation will end this thread.
I see, this is a sour grapes thread. Ok..... why am I having to pay $3.70 for gas when I used to pay $.89? NO FAIR................ Why do I weigh 30 pounds more than I did when I graduated? NO FAIR................ Why is it cold in December? NO FAIR........................... This thread is awesome. Everyone disagreeing with you is getting peppered with likes and crickets can be heard with yours.

My advice is to get over it. You can still do any number of things with your kids while in WDW. If BBB kills your vaca to a point where you are on the verge of a "NEVER AGAIN" thread, I for one can like that one.

Why is it ok to not honor dress codes at Signature restaraunts, but not be with your family getting your hair done when they cant even fill reservations? I know for sure I spend a lot of money for that, and all things, only to see wife beaters around the parks. Hey, Don't take my money, But let's see the slobs around the parks. Trying to prove a point. One, BBB is not filled at both locals, and two, dress codes are not adhered to. So why can I not spend money and look presentable at the same time?
NO FAIR

When I got my first car gasoline prices were 28 cents per gallon and although I won't reveal how much over 30 pounds since graduations can get too, lets just say a lot. However, when I got sick of cold Decembers I moved south. It's three different examples of situations that one can encounter during this crazy time we will call life all with different degree's of control.

This thread has all the necessary ingredients to be a train wreck.

Life is full of disappointment. Hell, I wake up every morning disappointed that I am not rich, thin, good looking. But I get over it and move on with my day.

Disney says you can't go to BBB if you are over a certain age? So, you are disappointed. I get that. Did they also say you could not do ANYTHING together as a mother/daughter combo? IS this SERIOUSLY the ONLY thing your family can do that can make you happy? As people have stated, go to a spa. Go to the high tea. Better yet - take the money you would have used on this excursion and donate to a worthy charity in the area and then spend the time doing each other's nails and hair. You can buy the glitter, colors, etc at home and bring it with you. And the money you donate will pay it forward and bring happiness to someone else.

The important thing is to be together. Not what you are doing - yea, it might have been fun to go to BBB, but you can't, so find something else.

This morning I head a former coworker passed away from brain cancer. Her son is in his early 20s. You think he wouldn't give anything to spend even 5 more minutes with his mom?

Look at the priorities and not sweat the little things. Not trying to disparage, not trying to belittle, just don't get the angst over not being allowed to go to BBB.

Yes apparently disney has been known to giveth and then taketh.... I don't think disney will ban the wearing of their hats on adults... I know DD2 likes to wear her ears when she meets us at the park over the weekend..she also bought one of those ridiculous packs  and wore that and she was the one who paid for the mermaid faces at the Pirate place for her and DGD...and she shares DNA with me:oops: I love her to pieces and I did try to raise all my children to think for themselves... and this was the result in her case..:p
