Disney After Hours Event

This event really makes me appreciate the pricing and offerings of MNSSHP and MVMCP. Significantly better deals in my opinion. Lines are usually ridiculously short due to crowds being so spread across the park.

I think the only way that I would even consider attending this event would be if I went without park tickets for a given day/week and I just went for the after hours. I would enter the park at 7pm and leave at 1am. I probably wouldn't spend the money to stay on-site and I would probably eat dinner off-site as well.

I remember the E-ticket nights and did enjoy those. The park was quite empty in the evenings, but there is a big difference is adding on $10 to the daily ticket price...not $150. If the park was virtually empty at $10, and I mean less than 2000 people, is this going to max-out?

I get it sucks but not sure why this event would ruin your vacation. It's once a week and after hours. Do conventions in the parks after hours bother you (happen daily)?
This is where my thought process lies. I wouldn't pay for it but if it's not affecting me who cares if someone else does? It doesn't look like they are shortening hours. It doesn't seem much different than any of the various parties.

By potentially phasing out EMH as it's known for open-to-anyone upcharge access only.

On top of your $15 resort fees....

Sounds like a short term test right now to see if they can sell all of the tickets. Curious to see what happens if it passes and goes long term. Probably won't be good.

I can see the resort fee having an optional adder in the future for EMH with a line charge per guest per night. Probably won't be anywhere near the $150.00, but I can see TWDC trying to get $25.00 for resort guests.

These upcharges, price increases and reduction of guest services will most likely continue until attendance finally levels off or drops. TWDC is taking advantage of record attendance and what seems like guests blindly going to WDW no matter what the cost is. Many people have the money and can say that are not concerned with their vacation costing an extra $1000 dollars. The amount of people that will continue to go to WDW will eventually reduce as it become $2000 or $3000 more for the same vacation.

During busier periods having regular park hours at MK run until midnight followed by 2 hrs of EMH and then followed by 7 or 8 am opening doesn't leave much time for park or ride maintenance.

More of a problem with the maintenance issues would be reduced workforce to handle maintenance, reduced budget for parts and rides running @ 100% capacity because of increased guests with few additions to the parks to reduce the load.

Here is a new idea for you Disney. Keep the MK open 24 hours a day. Scan magic bands upon entering and exiting, then charge by the hour. Daytime hours would cost more than nighttime hours. And of course, time should be rounded up to the nearest hour when scanned out at 10:01 pm.

What about $75 to enter the park and then you pay $10/ride. Scan it all to the bands. :banghead::banghead::banghead:
