I would rather go on the new Ferris Wheel being built by Sea World than this. Very cheap and not that creative of a idea.

The photos I've seen of the balloon at DLP look nice. I think this will be a good addition to DTD - especially if they hang it out over the water.

What the hell is going on!?! A crappy balloon are you kidding me? Please someone at disney with a set(possibly a big set) step in and slap these idiots. Just bc these chumps have degrees it does not give the right to water down WDW. The people that run WDW now have no vision, just the same old recycled garbage.

They have one of these tethered balloon rides at The Great Park in Irvine, California. It goes up 500 feet. They are all the rage now.

Maybe Downtown Disney VP, Kevin Lansberry got the idea for it when he was working at Disneyland through last year. http://www.ocgp.org/gpb/

So much for keeping guests on property! Everyone will be heading to City Walk! Universal is probably doing a happy dance! Bad move on Disney's part.

I have been to Disneyland Paris lots and the balloon is something nice to do but no substitute for PI. In Paris you need to pay to go up and you get some fabulous pictures. But I suppose when PI closes, all you will get pictures of is a deserted PI!!:hammer:

The balloon is not a substitute for PI why would anyone think that?? It's a cheap addition that loads of family's will love. The one in DLP seems to do very well and looks nice on the lakeside.
As for everyone going to Citywalk not Disney is closing PI it's not going to happen since no one was going to PI anyway.

Heading for the great escape.
Its a conveniant way to dispose of the hot air from the WDW board meetings.

And another excellent opportunity to part guests from their cash.
