99% of the time it's a non-issue. However not all ressies are made by Disney or in Disney's own systems.
If your reservation number changes (for any reason), it is your responsibility to update your 90+10 dine ressies with a proper number.
An example: You book with Disney. You cancel with Disney and buy a package through Travelocity because the airfare is so much cheaper in a package deal through them. Disney has no access to the new ressie but sees that your Disney-res was canceled. It is the responsibility of the guest/TA to update the ressies.
If the audit finds that ressie then there will be complications.
I'm not trying to scae anyone, but it is the responsibility of the ressie holder to keep the ressie up to date. They should not assume action by WDW either way.
Any and all room reservations booked for a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel requires the names of all guest staying in the room for security purposes. True, Disney Reservation Center Consumer Agents do not have access to room reservations booked by Travel Agents, Vacation Club Members, and Wholesalers. However, Specialty Sales Guest Service Cast do, and these are the Cast Members performing the dine audit.
Again, not to worry, if you MODIFY your room reservation and the reservation number changes, your Dinning will NOT be cancelled. If the Audit Team cannot verify your room reservation, you will be contacted by this team, using the phone number given to us on your dine reservation.
