*rocks back and forth nervously and awaits the eagerly anticipated "alleged" discount news* :lookaroun
This better not be like waiting for "the Great Pumpkin". I waited many Halloweens in that damn pumpkin patch and nothing :lookaroun

Hopefully, everyone won't be disappointed, but the way things have been recently with the discounts, I'm not sure some will be happy no matter how good the deal. With attendence up, I'm not sure we can expect a huge deal like previous years.

You never know.. With gas prices uncertain, some people may put there weekend drives to Disney on hold. Maybe a big discount will draw in more people that are sitting on the fence.. BTW, do the discounts come out at 12:00am eastern time?? Or do we have to wait until all 3 times zones are turned over to the next day....

If WDW is the only discount offered..I would guess FL time zone.

I'm not sure. The people taking weekend trips are probably fairly close and the fuel costs would not be that significant. We're almost 700 miles away and at $2/gal the round trip is $90... at $3/gal, it's about $140. I wouldn't toss out a trip to Disney over a $50 increase because of gas. I have a feeling that many would see it the same way.

That would make sense.... This past February, we got a rate of 55.00/night at Pop Century.. Don't think we will ever see that again, but it was nice.. wdwinfo.com is posting that the discount will only be at value resorts(room only that is) and will only be 10.00 less than the regular season rate.. 89.00 vs 99.00.. In my opinion, that would stink!!!:( but as I said earlier, something is better then nothing.. It would be too late for our trip next week, but with airfare of as low as 100.00 round trip(southwest "Ding" fares), I could be pursuaded to do a long weekend if they make it worth it!!

Well Mousesavers has been updated to give the full details of the discount and it is exactly what has been up for the past 3 days, just with a little more detail and the discount code. I guess I was hoping for more, with all the hype and waiting. here is the link: http://www.mousesavers.com/littlebird.html

Still says that it's pending.

Keep in the mind the hype was created by the fan sites, not by Disney.

I do not think the discount is going to change anymore since the code has been released and people may have already started to book w/ it. mousesavers would give the code then later lower the rate or add something to it. I agree with you on the hype, just feel dissapointed.

I wasn't saying that it WOULD change, but that it may since MouseSavers still had it pending. But yes, I doubt it will be better than what's been shown. Maybe they will give more details.
