What was the whole re-entry thing? I don't remember too much about what was missing from the ending except the giant toaster oven that's always been there....I think.

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
It didn't help the budget was screwed during development. Reading the ride OG story is so amazing yet so sad. Slide down a muddy hillside? Drive over a dinosaurs tail?
On top of that... All of the initial attractions that were supposed to be within the original "dinoland" .. Like that planned coaster.. The entire original concept had potential. As well as beastly kingdom.... But of course we had to get the results of "budget cuts."

What's really the chances that we will ever get a fully realized version of Dinosaur? Its honestly my favorite ride in WDW, It would be so easy to enhance...

Probably pretty unlikely! Unless someone sponsors a ton of money into that one attraction, I don't think anything will ever happen. At least not for a long time. But they could always surprise us, and do the unexpected!

Just give the dinosaurs some love, make everything work again. Add a few more sections of visible plants, couple new effects and I would be happy with that!

It's the only thing about this ride that drives me crazy. I thought the whole ride you were being pursued by this one single carnotaurus. Then somehow at the end his head grew 10 sizes larger?! What?!

I think it would be better served to have another same sized animatronic carnotaurus that lunges towards the vehicle. Much like the t-Rex on JPRA

I doubt it would be too terribly expensive... but instead there will be meteorites that say our names on them using magic bands... if you look at low light and night vision POVs you can see the detail is there, they just dont care to light it up...

The idea of the oversized head is supposedly to make the carnotaurus look like he/she is extremely close to you personally. It's sort-of the opposite of standard forced perspective that Disney uses to make things appear larger and in the distance. I actually think it works pretty well, since you only see it for a moment and with limited visual context.

Almost missed this post. Lucy is what makes that ride. And her movement is very realized.

Did you ever see the T-Rex in USJ Jurassic Park: The Ride? Her movements there make the ones in FL and CA like basic puppets! She jumps at the boat with insane force and it is much more effective than even the Yeti in "A" mode at Everest. She appears at 5:50 in the attached video.

I still think Dino has some of the fastest moving AAs of this size ever created. Im sure with some enhancements they could be even better

I agree. Dinosaurs dinosaurs(that sounds funky) move more realistically than anything in JPRA. When they are working properly! I don't find the final T-rex to be all that impressive. Yeah he's a large animatronic and thats cool and all, But it ruins the illusion sometimes when you can see too much. His feet appear to be very stationary and so does most of his body. He in reality would move from his legs and not just his neck. (I know thats really picky of me but if you look closely, most of the dinos in Dinosaur, move up and down with there joints properly.)

I don't know. I still have a pretty good idea of his size the whole time. We see him 3 different times before that and he's definitely close enough to the vehicle to get a feeling for his size. The head is just so static it never reads believable. Just a giant head puppet coming out at you.

I didn't think the last Dino moved at all?...
