Did you ever see the T-Rex in USJ Jurassic Park: The Ride? Her movements there make the ones in FL and CA like basic puppets! She jumps at the boat with insane force and it is much more effective than even the Yeti in "A" mode at Everest. She appears at 5:50 in the attached video.

Best AA Dino in all the Disney/Uni parks. I want that T-Rex so bad. Seems even Japan has trouble with the timing of their Ultrasaur. I noticed the baby Stego was static as well.

It's big I'll agree. But it's extremely clunky and unrealistic. Is it better than the static one? Yes. But not really the best.

I'm talking specifically about Japan's T-Rex. Its motion is much better than any stateside Rex or the Carnotaurs.

I still stand by what I said. Take a look at the first Carnatarus in that POV I sent. He's not as big as the one in Japan but man is he fast and fluid. The JP animatronics are well done, just not as fluid. Pretty clunky. Especially the magical floating trex in Orlando.

Chasing carnotaurus and yeti(in A mode) put this to shame IMO. Now the new Kong animatronic......not sure yet but it could be amazing! holding off judgment for now!

Except a yeti isn't a dinosaur, and its A mode is as mythical as yetis themselves.
I was just stating two animatronics that are more impressive (personally) than the JPRA T-Rex. Yeti A mode was impressive, I was lucky to have seen it multiple times before it went down.

Yea it sucks that it doesn't work. But when it did, it was fearsome and epic. My favorite animatronic.

I just watched both. Japan's T-Rex displays much more motion than the first Carnotaurus and is incredibly fluid. You're just blind. The floating T-Rex is in Hollywood btw.
I'm hoping it'll be more than just a head! I haven't seen any truly impressive AAs from Universal yet.
Considering Universal confirmed him to be 30ft tall he's much more than just a head. Have you been on Mummy? The first Imhotep is pretty impressive.

This whole thing has been about comparisons between AA Dinosaurs.

You must've missed my point. He does move more yes. But the movement is completely unrealistic and robotic. And as for Kong, you can bow to him all you want but the truth is we don't know anything. We know 30ft. But we don't know of what. And the mummy AA is hilariously fake. There's a difference between fast and realistic. Jack sparrow moves around lightning fast but it looks natural. Not like a puppet being thrown around.

Whatever you say buddy.

That T-Rex sure is clunky and unrealistic compared to Disney's absolute masterpiece that is the first Carnotaurus

The idea of the oversized head is supposedly to make the carnotaurus look like he/she is extremely close to you personally. It's sort-of the opposite of standard forced perspective that Disney uses to make things appear larger and in the distance. I actually think it works pretty well, since you only see it for a moment and with limited visual context.

Personally, I think the effect works especially well given that the vehicle is pointed downwards and descending during the encounter.

...though it pains me to endorse one of many effects in Dinosaur that relies on using darkness to hide the cheapness.
