yes infrastructure is vital to keeping a ride running. Maybe before the 20 year anniversary of the park they could get all the old effects running again so that the attraction can be experienced at it's best.

Yeah. It is not good and should have been corrected long ago and just can't wait any longer, got extended because it is worse than anticipated. Sometime you just don't know just how bad until the engineers get in there and really start assessing. We saw this previously with Test Track and Splash and Splash took two different refurbishments to correct and Test Track just kept extending.

Huh, so it has something to do with the building's plumbing that they're trying to fix? I guess all those hydraulics add up fast...

Rode it today and it seemed a lot darker than usual, at least once past the raptor/hadrosaur- I could barely see the compies. Hopefully they fix the lighting a bit. On the other hand I noticed two AA raptors at the start of the ride I never had before- but, the Styracosaurus was down. Do they bring them out to replace the Styracosaurus when she's not running well or have I just been too distracted to have noticed them before? Or are they new out of the blue additions?

I was disappointed to hear this refurb was extended and is now opening the day after I leave in October. Any chance it could open even a day early?

As someone else said its a refurb that we won't really see much difference. From my understanding the effects that we all complain about not working are just turned off. You'll notice they are all effects over the guests head. Coincidence? Not likely.

The pterodactyl at one point moved and wasn't just a static prop. Same with the compsognathus. Also the laser net effect that catches the iguanodon would be cool to see in action. Another thing I want to see changed is that mirror at the end of the ride. I know it was originally going to be used for a pepper's ghost effect of the iguanodon but I think they should have another animatronic just chilling there.

Any moving effect above the ride path needs to have a fail safe system where if the primary support fails a secondary system will prevent anything entering the vehicle envelope.

There has been no will to retrofit these despite their comparative simplicity. So the pterodactyl was secured in place, the compsognathus were taken off their chain tracks and stuck onto sticks.

Too sad.

While we're on the subject, is that the reason behind the recent DLP swinging pirate removal?

Does the carno at the end that comes barreling at you from above have a secondary fail safe? If that thing was to break loose from its chain it could be a major hazard.

Also the dinosaur pushing the large piece of broken tree above the vehicle doesn't move either. Well his head moves but the tree doesn't.

Well, I can understand not being enamored of Dinoland, but it does have a very nice QS restaurant. And while I'd say Flame Tree has the better food, Restarauntasaurus has excellent theming and detail PLUS no ducks biting at your legs asking for food.
Eh. Up through last summer I really liked the food at Restaurantasaurus. Happened to be there in December and I felt the menu took a real dip in quality.

I'm crossing my fingers that the projection effects are related to the meteors. They were always pretty easy to miss, especially if you aren't paying attention to the narration. I can't imagine the iguanodon's laser net coming back.

There was a permit filed today for "DINOSAUR PROJECTION INSTALLATION" by InterAmerica Stage, Inc.

Any chance this will help the ride be less dark than it currently is?

My wife loves Indy @ DL, but says Dinosaur is just a dark, loud ride that throws you around. I like Dinosaur myself, but I can see why she would feel like that.

Edited: Because I referred to my wife as my girlfriend even though we have been married for almost a year. Sorry, honey.
