Anyone else having trouble getting a fastpass for this the day it reopens? I extended my trip by a day so we can see this before we leave, but fastpasses seem to be unavailable. They are available every day after that. I have been checking every hour too.

I would imagine they haven't been released yet. Disney is probably holding them until they know for sure its opening that day. Or they my not have be releasing fast pass that day and it's standby only. Last time we were there that's what happened with Haunted Mansion. Standby only on day of opening and then fast passes available starting the next day.

You may be right. It says service unavailable the days leading up to it, then the day it's supposed to open it says there are no more times available. I find it hard to believe there are no times.

So, since the ride will be coming out of refurbishment by the end of the month...Any one else think that they could make the ride more intense and scary as to how the Warning sign interprets that it's suppose to...

Personally, I hope it is better than before and hopefully it will have an impact again. And I think if they do that and as Pandora opens they could possibly close Everest for Refurbishment......It's long due....About 10 years long overdue.....

I wouldn't mind some screens behind the AAs, giving life to the scene instead of seeing the joints in the wall and ceiling (if the lights are too bright) or barely seeing anything when it is too dark. Honestly, we've never been crazy over Dinosaur and thought it underwhelming, despite the cool ride vehicles. More exciting than EEA, for sure, but it had the same feel to it. I'm hoping this reno makes noticeable changes.

It's always been my favorite ride. I'm really excited to see what's being added.

Wish that when they come out of the refurb, they would change the name back to Countdown to Extinction. The current name is blah and nondescript. It was changed to match that of a low performing movie. I know they love to link everything to an IP these days, but who even remembers this movie? Plus there is really very little connection to the IP in the ride.

Am I the only one who thinks Dinosaur is improved by there being dim lights? Like, the last time I went, it was a bit TOO dark, but it could stand to be about as bright as it is in all the promo materials- which still isn't that bright. It doesn't mean anyone's being lazy, just that it's not necessary to add details no one will ever see. I mean no one clamors for Space Mountain to be filled to the brim with decor and AAs.

You're not alone.
I love the ride, and love the darkness.
Not knowing where you are going and doing those evasive turns are part of the experience for me.
One of my favorite parts actually.
