Dining Reservations

That's good to hear! I wanted to make sure because I thought I saw a message on the app saying that all members of the party have to show up or it would be a $10 cancellation fee per member that isn't there with you. I'm going to take your word for it and go off of that haha.

I wonder why they don't offer one person reservations? Is it that uncommon for people to go to Disneyland solo? I enjoy going to the parks at my own pace, and doing exactly what I want to do without worrying about anyone else.
Say, “the other person is sick today.”

I've been to Disneyland and WDW solo and I've never gotten charged for missing a person and I've booked most of my reservations as a party of two. Sometimes at WDW I was in a party of 2 and couldn't find anything for the Sci-Fi unless I booked a party of 4. At check in just say it is a party of one now.

It's weird, kinda like how you can often find more availability with 4 than 3, even though you'll be seated at a 4-top anyways.

From what I can tell, Downtown Disney restaurants are booking about 30 days out only.

Oga's is definitely booking 60 days out now.

I was able to get a reservation! But literally, if you don't reserve it FAST at 3am PST for Oga's, you'll miss out. Which I think is ridiculous, but I did it anyway. Haha

The other restaurants they are booking 60 days out, like the GCH Craftsman Bar, Wine Country Trattoria, and Lamplight Lounge seem to stick around for longer. I haven't figured out what they are doing for Blue Bayou and Napa Rose.

Luckily, unless Goofy's Kitchen comes back at some point, I doubt I'll be booking anymore reservations. I think we'll skip Blue Bayou this time around, and the other restaurants aren't that appealing to me and not worth another 3am wake up call.

They were booking Blue Bayou and Napa Rose at 60 days. I have them for 8/12 and 8/13, respectively. When they opened up Oga’s, Wine Country Trattoria, and Lamplight, they stopped booking Blue Bayou, Napa Rose, and Orleans. Weird.

Something annoying I’m finding while checking reservations is that the app and website show different availability sometimes. So make sure to check both.

Now lamplight lounge doesn't show up at all. Even right at 3am. Also savis workshop isn't going past Aug 20, is anyone else having this issue?

Am I missing something here? It doesn't appear that Blue Bayou, Lamplight, Carthay, or really any restaurants beyond Cafe Orleans and Wine Country are booking for August 21-22. Oga's is, but I missed the 3AM memo, so refreshing all the time...

Really want to grab at least 1 or 2 of these... Why are they making this so absurdly convoluted?

Anyone else sick of seeing Cafe Orleans, GCH Craftsman Bar, and Wine Country as the only three options ever available? 🤨

Maybe they are holding back other restaurants until the less popular ones fill up more?

I've had a mix of results for reservations. We got in for brunch at Lamplight Lounge, and one for GCH Craftsman Bar (figured we'd spend time at the GCH pool and walk over for cocktails and a bite). We also got into Savi's no problem. We couldn't get anywhere near Oga's or the Legacy Passholder bar though. I'll keep on it for Oga's as my niece and nephew will be joining us and they haven't seen Galaxy's Edge yet.

But yeah; this process takes entirely too much of a time investment.
I may decide to cancel one of our reservations for Oga's.

I don't know if going twice will be overkill or not. We haven't seen Galaxy's Edge yet, so I was thinking since I was up at 3am and the reservation was there a second time during our trip, I'd go ahead and book another one. Have you been yet? Think it's worth going twice?

Yeah, on our last trip. It was fun and interesting to look around, but it isn't great how they jam everyone together so it's actually uncomfortable to drink your beverage. If we didn't have the kids I wouldn't be bothering but they want to see it.

This is what I see for savis. Anyone else having this issue?

I was happy for all the Cafe Orleans availability as that was a top choice (pommes frites!) since literally none of my fave places are open yet. :/

But yeah, I never saw any of the popular options - then again, I only look when I think of it rather than checking at 3 in the morning or whenever it is!
