Hey All!

Some of you may remember a fantastic thread a while back, Dieting for Disney 2009...well, I'm bringing it back!

Last time we did this, I actually held myself accountable for what I ate and successfully dropped the pounds that I wanted to get rid off...well, some of the pounds came back, and my trip is in 62 days! Sooo, Let's do this again!

Reply back with your trip date, your goal to lose, how will losing this weight help you on your trip (more self confidence, etc.), and how you are planning to lose the weight/tone up (exercise, eat less, weight watchers, no dessert, etc.)

Then, we can talk to each other about how we are doing and share tips!

So, whaddya think?? I'll start -

My trip is May 26, I want to lose 15 pounds (I understand that might not be possible, but I want it to be something like that) I want to feel more self confident and be able to take pictures without worrying that I will look bad because of my weight, and finally, I am planning on going to the gym more and reducing the amount of junk food I eat. I am going to try to stick to a low calorie diet. Let's see how that works!!!

What is it about the 170 lb mark? When I hit that, I too had a heck of a time getting past it. My wife says it's all psychological.

I am going to have to agree with your wife on this one. I dont know if in the back of my mind I am saying "well, that is a pretty good weight, lets back off our work outs", or my body is actually saying, dont go any lower. Any which ways, I am happy at 170, its better then the 84lbs more I had two years ago.

Hope everyone has a fun and HEALTHY weekend and keep up the great work!

I (hopefully) will enter a local 5K in a couple of weeks so I still have time to condition myself for it. The good thing is I've been getting a small workout at work lately...lots of upper body work from moving pallets of stock as well as furniture. I've also been walking more and still am trying to stick to a good diet. Think I'll hit up Subway for dinner today at work...I'm slowly getting back to the gym after not feeling well for the past week and a half. Don't want to push it.

Keep up the good work everyone! :sohappy:

I've finally turned the corner.

I found myself at a new personal high last weekend. You know, those highs you say you will never be at again??? Yeah, 215. Not cool. That was last weekend. I'm now at 210 and weening off my calories.

I've gotta get back to my diet standard of 1200. I'm sure my usual is around 3000 per day.

Not healthy...at all. 5-6 more days and I'm on diet cruise control.

It was sure hard seeing everybody else have ice cream tonight. I ate one strawberry for dessert.

Wow no posts since the beginning of the month!

Since my school year is finally over, I can focus more energy and time on my fitness and eating right!
Very happy about that.
Until the middle/end of June I have my mornings free, so I'm planning on going to the gym at least 3 days a week.

How is everyone doing??

Hey! This is a really neat threa(t)d! :p I'm trying to lose about 40lbs before I go to WDW again. (November..my birthday!) I'm also trying to lose it for this summer, and because I'm so doughy. UGH!

I'm writing down everything I eat/drink in a journal, and I'm alternating going outside and being active and exercising inside throughout the week. I've cut out anything but water to drink, and I'm using smaller plates so I don't eat as much. (smaller portions, etc..)

I'm finding it really really hard to go outside though in the VERY WINDY weather up here in Maine. I need to motivate myself!!

I don't own a scale, so I can't weigh myself, but I have a pair of "goal jeans" in my drawer that I will try on at the end of each month..:lookaroun

Good luck to all!!! :D

Yes it is very windy here, I live in the mid-coast..... I'm upset, a little summer please

It has been a while since I have posted but I've been very busy with the kids. I have also stopped going to the gym because my membership was up and I hated it. We did get our pool open so I plan to start swimming again. So far the kids have been in without me. :lookaroun:lol: The water is still to cold. :hammer:Anyway, I am still watching my diet. I have lost another two pounds this week. We are walking in the afternoons now and my kids seem to enjoy it. We are all getting ready for the trip.:sohappy:

My sister has done wonderful on her diet. (low carb) She has lost almost 20 pounds in just a few months. I am trying to do the same thing now and it has gotten easier for me this week. I hope that it stays that way.

I hope everyone else is doing well. I have 90 days from tomorrow to get this off before we go to Disney!! :sohappy:
