Trip Report Did someone spit on me... or is it raining? May/June 2018

Cute!!!

We put on our rain jackets/ponchos and managed to stay pretty dry! The boat ride over was great and fine except for this one teenage girl (15-16?) who was so snotty and annoying. We had sat on a bench on the boat and left space because it was all wet and we didn't want wet bottoms. She basically pushed us out of the way and was so rude about it. Okay... whatever!!

Got to DS and ducked in some stores since the rain was coming down pretty good!

Finally our dinner spot! We were a little early but we checked in anyway and we got sat within 10 minutes.

We both ordered the Art's Famous Fried chicken and got a side of mac & cheese to split!

Okay. This was beyond words. SOOOO GOOD!!! Expensive but good. We decided we would split one meal next time instead. The only "bad" thing was the biscuit was really dry and flavorless. I like Red Lobsters version better

Next - more DS!

oh that chicken looks good.... we get a day trip to DS when we come to FL in November... we are debating food right now... Polite Pig was SO good, I don't know if I can go anywhere else!

The problem with Disney food is most of it is so amazing you never want to try anything else!!

Day 1 - finished up:
We finished up at World of Disney and decided to head out, both of us were dragging our feet by this point. I found this cute sign in the Co-Op and if I was going to have kids and I had a girl, I'd put this in her room!!

Heck, I wanted to buy it for myself!!!!
If you can't read it, it says "I am brave. I am fearless. I am kind. I am courageous. I will work hard. I will always see the light. And fill the world with sunshine. My voice is my own. My reflection is my warrior. I will follow my own path. And choose my own adventure. I am a shooting star. I will wish, I will believe. I will dream it, I will do it. I am a Disney Princess" like how adorable is that!! For $250 though... as a college student... I will pass on buying for now :hilarious:

We decided it was time to leave so we chose to go by boat!

I think we waited for like 5 minutes max.
We had to stop in the lobby so we could pay for the rest of the room or something (??) I really wasn't paying attention LOL

Headed back up...

Felt oh so patriotic with my new purchases :hilarious:

(A salute to all nations but mostly America)

Stacy was on for a good 5 minutes before we both fell asleep!

Thursday May 31st - Epcot:
Epcot opened at 8am for EMH, so we got up around 5:45/6.
No selfie today, sorry :hilarious:

We were out the door and headed to fill our mugs!

See the magic band?? Yeah I totally forgot I had turned it to inactive so when I tried to tap, they told me my band was off :facepalm:

Oops!

We did not wait long for a bus - 7 minutes or so...

Sat down with my coke and Mom was sipping on her coffee. A great day was ahead of us!

We were directed to the other side of bag check, which was a first for me! I had never been on this side :joyfull:

I'm 99% sure this is the best picture I've ever taken :joyfull:

Headed to the first ride of the day!

Hello monorail!! (and two random people!)

What a beauty!

So blurry, oops! While we were in line these two women behind us were talking about how the one was so scared to go on. They looked like they were 30-40 and it was so funny to see all these little kids in line but they were scared! We talked to the one woman and she calmed down. During the ride they were laughing and so happy, it was so fun to see!! And the people on the other side of us, when we flew over the castle in Germany (?) she was like "That's where I got engaged!!" :inlove:

*I may have teared up*

After our flight we headed to my favorite Epcot ride!

I asked for front row :inlove:

Do you think they'd let me live here?

One of my friends from HS had the nickname of "Neme" stemming from a Nematode so I had to take this for her LOL

My mom & I love this ride!! My mom LOVES gardening and I hope I get her green thumb one day LOL

We headed over to Nemo since I changed our FP from LWTL to Nemo, but it wasn't quite 9 (it was 8:58) and they made us go standby...

This guy was actually moving!! I feel like I've never seen him move!!!!!! But the hanger fish part wasn't moving so I guess they traded being broken for the day LOL

We yet again changed our FP - this time for Figment!

We had to wait for 5 minutes but it was so nice out, we didn't mind :joyfull:

I am torn on that picture of the girls. I have a pet peave about climbing on things not meant that and the need to sit down and the limited placed to do so.

Yep, Schloss Neuschwanstein in Germany!

Fun fact: The design of Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland was partially inspired by Neuschwanstein. You can particularly see the resemblance when looking at the front gate of the castle.

I didn't realize how much bigger the new TVs in the renovated rooms are compared to the old ones. Wow that's a big difference lol. And I also suggest going on the Behind the Seeds tour. My husband and I went did that in 2016 and enjoyed it.

We saw them loading the new ones into rooms and we were like

They were huge!! I'd love to do the BTS tour, I'm glad you guys had a good time doing it!

From there, we saw Frozen had a 15 minute wait so we headed that way!

Still had some F & G topiaries up... most of them were still around! Too bad my stupid AP magnet wasn't around :hilarious:

Flower bed mural was gone, however :cry:

It was so pleasant outside, not too hot or too humid!

Your Living with the Land pics warm my heart. It's one of the last remaining remnants of the original Epcot. It has changed a bit since the first time I rode it back in 1983, but really only the very beginning section, the very end section, and in that it's a recorded spiel now, as opposed to a live cast member. I do miss them. It was nice to be able to ask them questions about what we were seeing.

Poor Figment. RIP Dreamfinder. Did they at least have the skunk spray working? I've read that they've pretty much turned it off at this point.

I really love LWTL, honestly it is my favorite Epcot ride. I never got to experience "old" Epcot so what it was in 2001-now is all I know. The skunk was working, still gross to me LOL
