Did anybody else go to the DVC Vacation as You Wish in Boston this weekend?

We did! It was great. They were offering $16 off a point.

We all got DVC leather notebooks, leather luggage tags, DVC mouse ears, and binoculars.

They also gave away a 7 night vacation which we did not win.

They had some desserts available afterwards and a dance party with Mickey and Minnie. Cinderella, the Fairy Godmother, Aladdin and the Genie were also there.

According to them, you absolutely can not!!!!!!:lol:

But I have no personal experience with trying so I don't know. According to some other boards I've seen, people calling have not had any success getting the same discount. But again, I'm not positive.

I should have clarified also, it was $16 off when you bought 100 points. They got better as you went up. If you added 500 points you got $24 off.

Can I ask what the $ amount is now per point is now. I know when we purchased a few yrs back it was $101.00 per point and was getting ready to go up to $104.00. With BLT, Tree house & the GC on the the market that it would be higher.

List price is $112. A $11 discount if you're buying 100 points for BLT is pretty standard I think.

There are better discounts for AKV and VCG.

I agree that the discount is good. But right now is not a good time for us to add on.

I think present. I did hear there was one for prospective members but I'm not sure if that's right.

Ours was completely directed at adding on points. Nothing at all about becoming members.

Too bad we're in NY and not invived, maybe they will do one here, the discounts for buying keep getting better, not sure how I feel about that, we added on 100 when they started selling BLT, it ws $5 off then, should have waited I guess

Yes, $16 off for adding 100 points. More off for adding more points.

100 points was $9600.

We went to the Boston event (we're in Maine) and really enjoyed it. We didn't add on, but they were offering great deals and the whole event was a fun way to spend Father's Day!
