Did all Disney has to offer...without the parks

I've never understood why some people get so upset about pool-hopping. If the OP had a good relaxing time, then who really cares? Good for them for making the most of their vacation. The way I see it, rules are meant to be broken. (Unless of course, it is my home, business, or establishment which is making the rules. Then, of course I'd want people to honor what is posted.) But if it's not my business or property, then I see no problem if someone wants to relax or unwind. Nobody is getting hurt by this, and nothing is being stolen. Live & let live, I say. If we are the ones paying for the vacation, then really it should be us who decides which rules should stick, and which rules are just fluff posted on a sign.

Of all of Disney's silly rules, this is the one I'm most wanting to break:

Hey, if I don't speak Spanish, am I even breaking the rules? Hmmmm ....

I only broke that rule once. It happened years ago. While it did make for one interesting ride to Epcot...security did inform me that if I ever did it again, I would beheaded toward a lifetime ban.

This is the most disgusting thing to be proud of...sneaking onto property to go swimming when you are not a registered guest. Then you tried to get away with it at the Poly but couldn't sneak in? GOOD! Why should you be able to go swim in a nice resort pool when you aren't paying for that luxury? Just because you spend money eating at a Disney hotel does not give you the entitlement, no matter how big your sense of self's is, to take advantage of a resort's amenities that other guests pay good money for. It reminds me of people who throw trash around...what do they care, it's not as if they have to clean up, right? So if it doesn't affect you, then who cares? Just wrong.

What is happening here. I normally don't respond to things like this that I read but I couldn't let this one go.

Rules are meant to be broken, except if they're yours?

So you and everyone else can break all the rules, unless you've made them? I just saw a reality show where one woman was speaking horribly about everyone else in the house, but then snapped at anyone who spoke negatively about her, saying "keep my name out of your mouth!" But she just did that same thing to everyone else and it was ok for her to do it. ?!?!?!?! So the OP can go into any pool he wants, unless it's your pool. Ok. That's not very logical. If you want people to honor your rules, everyone should honor everyone else's rules, period end of story. I mean, that's just respect.

Exactly the point he was making.

Sometimes an idea has to be taken to the absurd to make a point.

Come on guys, seriously. You're treading into DISBoards territory with your vehement righteousness and wanting to crucify the guy. Do I condone the actions, no. But it's not the end of the world that some of you are making it to be. I've stayed at FQ during busy season and the need for seating and pool space is hardly a Black Friday situation.

It reminds me of this cartoon:

I see why some are angered, and it bothers me as well. We've seen the same thing happen at the Beach Club, and at AoA. On several occasions, while staying at AoA, we saw guests from Pop come over and try to use the Blue Pool. I am wrong to be bothered by that? We love Pop, and usually stay there (see my sig below), but on occasion we have paid extra for AoA LM rooms. We paid extra for the additional amenities, the Blue Pool being the biggest one.

Just let it go? Let it ruin your vacation? No, but it does bother me...

I'd like to go save me some money next time too. Maybe the next time I'll look up where the OP is staying and I'll crash in his room, join him on his ADR and I can take advantage of the things hes paid for.
Why limit it to what he's paid for? I get your point, but he wouldn't! Better to tag along with a megaphone, draw as much attention as you can, and announce to all the deal you are getting....on a budget!! OP said he'd do again in a heartbeat....wonder if announcing it too all would make a difference?

Not a similar comparison. He didn't go into anyone's room and he didn't join anyone in an ADR. He took up mass in places where there is plenty to go around. Now, if anyone here could show that he actually had an effect on someone not being able to use the pool, then you guys might have an argument.
