I'm sorry, but how exactly do you think spending a couple hundred dollars on a family meal justifies your using an amenity that people pay double (or more) than that per night to use? When I stay at deluxe resorts, I also pay for my meals.

Then quit your job and become the Mickey Mouse Resort Police and stop everyone from doing it. If this bothers you so much, I feel sorry for you on your vacation. Having to spend every waking moment worrying about what others are doing and never knowing.

Interesting that the OP isn't defending his actions or bragging anymore about how he took advantage of the system. And I'm sure there ARE plenty of people who are taking advantage of this but they aren't going around on boards wanting "kudos" for it.

Why would he come back when everyone here is crucifying him? I think his basic idea is a commonly done one. Aside from the pool hopping, he was just asking if anyone else enjoyed Disney outside the parks (like Disney Springs, the restaurants, etc.). I kind of feel sorry for him. Everyone zeroed in on the pool hopping like he committed murder!

We're not the ones who brought this up, the OP is. I'm not about seeking out people "behaving badly" to slap them on the wrist, I just wish people would have a sense of dignity and do the right thing simply because it's the right thing, not because they're afraid of getting caught. You seem to think everything is okay just because you're not going to be punished for it. Some things are wrong even if there's no consequence for doing it.

I'd rather somebody tip his toes in a resort hotel pool that wasn't included in his $8000 bill than jeopardise my family members' life with speeding.

Nobody ever ended up in a wheelchair for life for somebody having a quick pool hop.

I own stock too and I say they can use that pool.

Mainly though, I don't have any delusions of ownership and what it means to have some stock to the worth of three burgers.

Which is actually a pretty good reason to keep non paying guests from using the pools at Disney....liability issues.

Well, we'll all have to agree to disagree. I happen to think that obeying the rules (no matter how silly or obtuse) is important. I don't agree that you can pick and choose the rules and laws you choose to obey.

If Disney wanted non-guests swimming there their would be no sign and if anyone complained they would be told it's ok with management.

Nobody is saying it's ok. As a matter of fact, I had to keep pointing out that I've said that it's breaking the rules several times. My point regarding your post and the other guy's is that he's not actually taking anything from you as you would be taking from him in your examples.

What he did would be more akin to him going into a buffet that you paid for and eating an appetizer for free. It's not actually taking anything from you, it's getting a service for free that you paid for.
