I go to Orlando for two weekends a year. I either do two days Disney per trip, or one day Universal, one day Disney. I have done Universal vacations where I did two days Universal and one day Disney, but since I have a young kids, Universal just makes much less sense.

Obviously you haven't been in Diagon Alley. With 1 E Ticket (Gringott's), 3 shows (Celistina Warbeck, The Faountain of Fair Fortune, and The Three Brothers) 2 interactive experiences (Ollivander's and Gringott's Money Exchange), the Interactive Wand stuff, and the plethora of shops, DA is a big chunk out of your park day.
I also suspect that many folks will do ALL of Potter first (DA>HE>Hogsmeade) then explore the rest of the resort.
There is almost too much to do.

Then there's the rest of the park too.

And the one next door.

So why are you telling us about it?

Oh, right, you're just a troll with a quite a history at other message boards.

Your schtick is old. Either contribute something worthwhile or don't. You've repeated your "opinion" ad nauseum.

We lost track of time visiting Diagon. Spent a good 6+ hours there, not to mention the time doing the Hogwarts Express. And we didn't do the interactive wands nor one of the troupe's shows.

It's hard to believe how much they've packed into this expansion.

Just the Potter experience is going to run close to a full day, especially for fans.

And then there's the rest of USF and IOA...

All the chatter seems to point to Ministry of Magic though I think it will be more of a challenge to design than Hogsmeade and Diagon. If there's a ride, it'll have to be quite inventive with the story.
I for one don't want any more "Harry Potter". I will take another helping of JK's wizarding world. Harry is probably the least interesting character in the series. With Rowling coming out with a new film, maybe we will see a shift from Harry in the parks.

Is there any way they'll be able to expand Diagon in the future? It seems sad you had such an immersive and exciting area with only one ride. Would be cool if they could go in and add another in the future.

Can't wait to find out what's next. a lot of people are saying ministry of magic is going in the fear facter area. If they make it as good as diagon alley I will be a very happy man so many rumours coming out universal right now it could be an exciting five years

Movie is said to start in Wizarding NY in the 20s excited to see some wizarding world outside of 90s England.

Well, technically you could get something as big as the ET show building on the stage area with room to spare. Plus there is a natural connection between London and here with the unused phase two space behind the new berm.

Hypothetically speaking.

I think a ride through the Ministry of Magic could work with the Pandora's Box ride system. Theme it like you're in the unique looking elevators seen in the seventh movie taking a tour of the Ministry. Maybe even a stop at the Department of Mysteries.

Sounds Amazing. Yes, the Mouse may well lose two days from us during our next trip. Maybe more if we work in a visit to Cape or hit Sea World.

In a stroke of perfect timing Disney (ABC FAMILY) is running a Potter weekend to coincide with the DA opening.
In December we will be spending 5 days at our beachclub DVC and we are going to MK one day and Uni for 2 days. The rest will be spent at our pool. I won't be visiting the other 3 Disney parks until there are some improvements. Plenty of other things to see in orlando from my DVC base.
