The 7DMT was down for a while today.
And that fits this thread how?

Look, I can do it too, "The Cubs beat the Reds yesterday", or to tie it to a theme park flavor, "Flight of Fear is having Electrical Issues"

OK. Now that I read further, I see where the comment came from but really, '71, not like you to stoop to his level.

Gringott's carts have a full motion base.
Hey, so do I, but when that one motion starts, I suggest you walk, not run, to the nearest exit.

On a side note, and by no means do I want to come down on Gringott's (cannot wait til our next visit to check it all out) but is this full motion anything like the old Avatar (cartoon not blue $ex kittens) ride at KI. I think it is now Surf Dog - Snoopy. But this ride is on a track and spins 360 degrees. Very basic but just curious on the idea.

Imagine a mummy coaster car with Spider-man like RV motion.

Gringott's is very much the next step down the path they started down in 1996 with T2:3D. In that you can see it roots that run through Kong 360/3D, Transformers, FJ, Disaster, Spider-Man, T2:3D. And that is the blending of live environments with state of the art projection technology. Gringott's is an amazing attraction, the sets are huge! But it is very much a Universal attraction. Just like Disney signature attractions feel like Disney attractions. Universal really is now it's own thing.

Unfortunately, now with DA, USF is very attraction heavy compared to it's sister next door. Kong will help, but DA is sooo time intensive (even after the crowds die down) that USF is now a very full day, if not a 1.5 day park. IOA, not so much.

If you want to experience either park without express or single rider at a leisurely pace, I would say 1 day each park. With Express and Single Rider and a full day you can experience both parks in one day(with eating a nice lunch at Citywalk in between).

Obviously you haven't been in Diagon Alley. With 1 E Ticket (Gringott's), 3 shows (Celistina Warbeck, The Faountain of Fair Fortune, and The Three Brothers) 2 interactive experiences (Ollivander's and Gringott's Money Exchange), the Interactive Wand stuff, and the plethora of shops, DA is a big chunk out of your park day.
I also suspect that many folks will do ALL of Potter first (DA>HE>Hogsmeade) then explore the rest of the resort.

We spent six hours just in diagonalley with out even going on gringotts my wife loved the interactive wands while I loved the wizard brew.I can never understand when people say you can do both park's in one day why rush about and miss all the little things that make the place such fun

I wouldn't insult the parks by trying and failing to do both in one day.
I dont think one day would be enough by a long shot. Aside from the attractions and all the merchandise I think they did an awesome job of creating unique food and beverage items. My wife and I can spend hours at EPCOT snacking and drinking around WS and I know we could spend a whole afternoon in DA sampling the food and drinks there as well. Dragon Scale Brew, Bangers and mash, Chocolate chili ice cream? Yes please!
