Not in person.
Does it move?
No, but it is too detailed to be considered a mere "statue". You can see the wounds resulting from the embedded collar, it's emaciated body, and the wear and tear on the wings from abuse and neglect. And that is just from looking at pictures....

Did i mention it breathes fires and roars?

I thought this one of the best detailed videos of DA:
And the first one, I've seen that show the puppet show

Take my money!!!!! ... But no, seriously, take my money! That was a simply gorgeous video to watch. The HP books came out beginning when I was 9 and thus, were a defining part of my childhood. I went to Hogsmeade last year but seeing what they've done with DA is simply astounding in terms of detail. Even if none of the rides existed, I'd still go. I can't even image the dollar amount that Universal is going to make off all the shops. I'm not one for buying things (especially not as Disney has made their merchandise more and more generic), but I saw multiple things in that video alone that I would buy... Heck, I'd even exchange my real money for the fake money. I've always wanted a galleon, sickle, and knut ;)

I'll take a galleon and sickle, got enough knuts rolling around this place.

I do have to say that the new land looks absolutely stunning! No way anyone could give anything about this expansion a thumbs down! Crack is whack!

Anyone who has ridden Gringott's has done so as a member of the press or a VIP. Typically press reviews are going to be very positive because these same people will want to be invited back when Universal opens their next ride.
I've just got up, looked on social media, and the first review I read from a well respected other site heaped nothing but praise on it. Same as what I read yesterday.

Friends and colleagues on Thursday night were using so many superlatives I thought they were talking about original EPCOT Center. And yes, one or two did use the phrase best ride on the planet. And they know what they're talking about.

Oh look. Here's another I read just now.

the first two scenes we experienced were already the most mind blowing scenes on a theme park attraction I have ever ridden

Harry is in it too btw. Thought you might like that. Remember when you kept going on about its a Harry Potter ride with no Potter? In post after post in multiple threads? Well now you can rest easy assured this isn't the case.

A CGI Harry, Ron, and Hermoine make a cameo at the end. Not their voices, and not the actual actors. They should really call this attraction Bill Weasley and the escape from gringotts.

Anyone who has ridden the attraction, has done so as members of the press and invited VIP's. They have to be positive or run the risk of not being invited back for the next attraction opening at Universal,

Gringotts was hyped for 2.5 years as the next greatest theme park ride on the planet. I am pretty sure it will not come close to that mark. As long as I don't get sick, I will like it than Forbidden Journey.

Or it could actually be good. I've talked to someone who did ride it, and it's solid, new, and it's own ride category, and the Hogwart's express in unprecedented also. It's not perfect, and it's not going to be everyone's favorite ride, but nothing is. Anyone can nitpick details like screens (which they themselves are used in new ways) and actors, but that doesn't change the fact the ride is still state of the art and really good.

Of course.

Looks like you're opinion doesn't match the educated ones of those who know what they're talking about and have ridden. And that I've spoken to privately as opposed to reading about with no PR pressure.

But that's the fun of forums. Everyone is different.

So much for no Harry then.

This ride and area will be a massive hit. The bar has been raised. Again.

What is the situation regarding free lockers for guests while they ride? I haven't seen any photos of those yet. Are there any?

Well, that was interesting. Anyone have more information about Diagon Alley? Other than the old WDW vs US/IOA argument?
It would be nice wouldn't it? Without resorting to my doll is better than your doll.

Talking in private to friends who've ridden and Gringotts is an amazing attraction. One person whom I respect the judgement of offered it in his top five. The other 4 being FJ, WDWs ToT, DLs Indy and Spider-Man. We are talking that kind of calibre.

As for the area as a whole.... TDS level of immersion.

For what it's worth, I know a few folks who have ridden Gringott's who have no reason to praise it to me, and they said it's fantastic. And there actually are some large physical sets during the ride.

Even if it wasn't that great, I don't see why some Disney fanboys are so eager to instantly crap all over it. The ambition behind this alone makes it more appealing than anything WDW has given us in years.

Even if it is not as good as the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, that only makes it lesser to two rides widely consider amongst the best in the world and the best two for plenty others.

And still having all three within the same resort. That's the kind of stuff only Disney used to be able to lay claim to within a space.

Is anyone missing Jaws at this point? :)
