I was talking about a "Lucasland" many years before Disney bought the IP. Sooooo.....yeah, you are right.
The difference is that you weren't talking about it from the perspective of inside knowledge, you were talking about it like every other armchair imagineer who wanted a Lucasland.

When I was 6 I wanted them to build a Winnie the Pooh ride. Years later, they did. Doesn't mean I knew what was coming.

All rumors here....please close this forum. It isn't going to happen. Disney will not change Maelstrom..

That was posted in September. At that point it was already known well in advance from a variety of sources that Frozen was taking over Maelstrom. I believe even cast members at Norway were in the know about the future of their pavilion at that time, probably months beforehand too.

Good find:cool:

Yeah, that's kinda embarrassing for him:oops:

Looks like he is right about TSMM 3rd track being confirmed, but it's kinda old news by now.

Actually is was said in the context that new content was inevitable for the studios. Made obvious by the addition of placeholder attractions and other attractions not being refreshed in a timely manner. This usually indicates big change is on the way.

I always say I am not an insider. I just do not buy into the meme that TWDC has turnded its back on WDW and TDO is just happy with the status quo. That has always been a misrepresentation of the facts by some. I just happen to enjoy proving that. See Disney Springs, the FLE, Pandora, DAK, new parade, infrastructure investments and whatever else the mouse has up his sleeve for proof. The pendulum has swung back to WDW. Someday DL will see major investment again. It is the way it works.

DAK is still in need for additional rides once the water show has been added to the park. A great competitor for Harry Potter fanatics. You haven't seen anything yet to what is coming to WDW.

This is a GREAT statement, because it's an open ended and totally useless thing to say. It seems to be a common theme.."just wait, Disney is working on _________ that will destroy ________"....always in the far future...somewhere....sometime...

This (bolded) is the problem. YOU are proving nothing.

EDITED to add, DLR just came off a major investment, has continued to see major investment in maintaining the parks, and is approaching the doorstep of further major investment. No imaginary pendulum has swung away from them, and more certain still is the fact that none need swing in only one direction at any time. Disney has always had the power to invest in both DLR and WDW at the same time. If at any point they are not doing so, it is only because they choose not to.

Oh for the love of God..... Without blowing my sources, the third track at TSMM and the Third theatre At Soarin are 100% confirmed.

I still want to know if they will be the same attraction at opening... the rumored different lines.. or if they will actually justify the expansion with new ride variations.

I'm still waiting to hear this great animal fantasy tale that your saying is in the ride? MM will never come to DAK ... and the off chance it does I'm going to hit the suit that thinks its a good idea.
You're just being ridiculous now. It's centered on a monkey. It's a story about a monkey. The ride is about the adventure of a monkey... who's the center of the entire attraction... no matter how you try to stretch it... It's about a monkey opening a magic box, fantastical hijinks ensue -- in his story... You'd hit a suit over it? How about not visiting this hypothetical place... This wouldn't be placing Frozen in Norway.

For what it's worth... I had a good conversation with a solid source telling me that Disney was looking to find ways to 'enrich' all the parks and as Walt liked to say, "plus" all the attractions. He did refer to enhancements already seen like interactive queues to ride rehabs, etc... And stated improvements were coming to make many attractions interact more with guests. idk if this will be seen with TSMM but it seems like it would be an obvious upgrade given it is so video heavy anyways, it in theory should be relatively simple to update as time goes on.

There's more animals featured in MM than there are in Kali River Rapids.

Kali river rapids was supposed to be called tiger river rapids when it first opened.

Its main message is environmental conservation and the stoppage of habitat destruction.

Animals are not specifically in there no, but the overall message of the attraction involves animals/species because it brings attention to deforestation, and deforestation leads to less biodiversity, hence less animals/species.

I don't think mystic manor fits in DAK. Just because its main character is a monkey doesn't mean it has anything to do with DAK's message of conservation, environmental awareness, and continental cultures.

I do hope your source is accurate, but I would correct them when they refer to ride rehabs as plussing or enhancing. Ride rehabs, in my definition, bring a ride back to 100% operating ability. 110% would be plussing. Sadly, ride rehabs haven't been taking place nearly as systematically as they should have been. So, a rehab that does take place makes people think things have been enhanced. Fixing the Yeti, for example is far from plussing.

Well the specific ride used as an example at that time was test track. I didn't say "plussing" was a rehab. Trust me this source is well aware of the difference.

Also, fantastic question. No idea.
Well, there will be an exit coming out of that area correct? So it will be obvious that the ride extends through that building, meaning if they don't extend theming, it will look very odd.

Putting in a carbon copy of a screen ride in an empty building may be cheap and easy, but I hope they don't forget about things like this. It makes a difference.
