DHS DHS Soundstage 1 Renovation - Toy Storia Mania expansion

Actually Cars Land was only as successful as it was because Lasseter stepped in to save it when bean counter executives tried to slash into its budget and half it (and the Mermaid ride still was screwed up despite his efforts with Cars). Hopefully he or someone like him are on board to ensure DHS doesn't succumb to the fate DCA 2.0 almost did.

Really? So JL overruled Iger huh? Because that is the logic you seem to be using. Iger wants to cut but can be overruled by Lasseter?

Ohhhhkayyy.

While I don't particularly care for such parties, I actually think that would be a decent offering and location. I think, however, that a key aspect of the shows at DCA are having a live band not DJ.

The live band was a add-on for the Mad T Party iteration.. Glow with the Show and Electronica were both DJ shows plus dancers and live entertainment.

IMHO - they don't belong as a fixture in the theme park... their impact on the day aspect of the park, etc.

If you want a street party... WDW used to have that.. at the former Pleasure Island

I believe it was built a couple years after opening, replacing an edutational exhibit called 'Bountiful Family Farm'

Correct.. it bugsland was an expansion and overtook most of the bountiful farm land... which was mainly static displays of california agriculture and ITTBAB.

An update for Fantasmic would be great as well as new shows, but you should know as well as anyone here that a Frozen attraction was and will never be on the table for DHS. If it was, Maelstrom would still be open. The whole point of putting it there was the fact it would be cheap and easy. Kind of defeats the purpose if they put another ride in another park.
A Frozen ride in DHS...nope. A permanent Frozen attraction is likely. The sing along show has been extended and Frozen Oakens was relocated. If they remain popular (and they likely will) I expect them to have a permanent home in DHS 2.0.

Ooooooooh. I completely misunderstood what you meant. Yes I do think Frozen could possibly get a home in DHS in show form. Just a matter of time really.

Clonning Cars land or (worse) half of Cars Land is really boring in my opinion. Wouldn't you rather have an exclusive land that is done the same quality or maybe a Monsters Inc. Coaster + the Ratatouille ride from Paris instead?

If people want to see the Cars rides they can fly down to Disneyland. I want fresh reasons to travel to Walt Disney World.

I would want the Incredibles myself. Real E Ticket potential there if they wanted to go that route with Pixar.

Yes. Ratatouille has a 5 year Worldwide exclusive to Paris, just like Mystic Manor has a 5 year exclusive to Hong Kong. I thought Monsters Inc Scream Coaster was a D-ticket.

I want fresh ideas, firsts for DHS - not things brought from the other parks because they are proven successes.

I'm really on the bandwagon of bringing Monstropolis to DHS (or DHA?). Two or three attractions including the Laugh Floor coming over from Magic Kingdom would work very nicely.

Plus they could actually add something futuristic at Tomorrowland in its stead. A Wall-E attraction? Anything else?
The obvious choice would be to bring Timekeeper back to TL. It worked for Michael Jackson didn't it?

Kidding of course, or am I?

A Tron lightcycle ride (like the one going into Shanghai) would be a reasonable choice, but I think the ship has sailed on Tron. Personally, I'd love to see a Guardians of the Galaxy ride go into TL (if, for example, Laugh Floor moves to DHS) -- WDW is limited on Marvel properties they can use, so we'll never see a "land" based on Marvel, but GOTG seems to be in the clear and TL is a great fit for it. Plus it would help revitalize that land, which could use a refresh.

Regarding Monstropolis at DHS, I'll repeat my plan that I've argued before: Replace the SoA with Monstropolis -- same layout, just new flats with images of the Monster city with monster puns on the names of stores and odd looking creating looking at out windows and odd shaped doors, etc. Put Laugh Floor in the Premiere Theater (Frozen can move to the AIE theater). Replace Mama Melrose with Harryhausen's (serving sushi and Asian food). Replace the HISTK playground is a ride -- door coaster, a copy of the DCA or TDL dark rides or a new ride.

5 years? So that means they could start building these at WDW now and they wouldn't violate the exclusivity! ;)

Question - how is exclusivity determined, or, who establishes ride exclusivity for a particular park?

While we are kidding (maybe not? ;)), that actually might not be too far off. It could a late addition to Pixar Place considering the DCA redo took 5 years.

That ride looks really cool but I'd rather have something new, especially since the France Pavilion is so close to DHS. (Though if we end up getting it, I won't complain.)

A TSMM expansion. HISTK to Bugs Land. Monster's Inc Coaster. Any Pixar film dark rides (preferably preferably 1 upper D to E ticket). A Star Wars E-ticket. Update TLM show with Frozen. Plus remove the hat.

If something on that scale happens to DHS not only will I stare at the computer screen in complete shock and amazement....but I will also be thoroughly pleased. :)

Has there been any rumors regarding the Animation Academy area? My wife and kids love drawing the characters. I hadn't heard how that area is going to "fit in" with this redo.
