But with that 5 year exclusivity... does that mean they can't start construction for 5 years or the ride can't OPEN for 5 years? Because if it's only it cn't open, they could easily do construction on a Ratatouille ride and aim to be open once the contract allows for it.

That is something I don't know but if I was TWDC I wouldn't be wanting to start construction for 5 years wouldn't want to annoy the Hong Kong government. Ratatouille I would imagine they won't start construction before 5 years either wouldn't want to annoy the shareholders that they want to invest more in EuroDisney SCA or annoy a Prince...

Well I can't imagine Mystic Manor is really on the table for WDW right now, especially at DHS. It'd fit great at DAK though.

If either of those (which I have no reason to believe will happen), we'd be looking at DLP's Ratatouille most likely.

Mystic Manor is a poor fit for DAK but both won't be happening outside of the Hong Kong and Paris for a minimum of 5 years.

You keep saying 5 years, but this isn't expected to be done until 2018-2019 or so. Rat opened this year, so at the earliest 2019 would be when it could happen if it's 5 years.

I'm not saying it's going to happen. I have no reason to think either will, TDO has given me no reason to. BUT, what i'm saying is the 5 year exclusivity is no proof Rat won't come if we could see it by 2019.

2019 when construction starts then add a 2 year construction on that so 2021. As that is the 50th Anniversary I could see them putting Mystic Manor in Adventureland more than adding Ratatouille.

Or one or more Mysterious Island-like attractions. Adventureland could use a mountain of its own.

I'm really on the bandwagon of bringing Monstropolis to DHS (or DHA?). Two or three attractions including the Laugh Floor coming over from Magic Kingdom would work very nicely.

Plus they could actually add something futuristic at Tomorrowland in its stead. A Wall-E attraction? Anything else?
I've been saying Wall-E should get a ride.
The scene with that chairs moving in mid air might actually make a good ride concept.

thanks and in tram tour?
Well, there's been some rumors, nothing confirmed.
Bug's Land for HITSK (easy retheme and gives little kids more rides to do)
Cars mini-land (maybe just Flo's, Junkyard Jamboree and a retheme of the LMA show)
Monsters Inc. mini-land (Ride and Go Seek, Harryhausen's, Laugh Floor relocation)
Incredibles E-ticket (a Marvel version could then go into Disneyland or DCA)

With a SWL including a spinner, an upgraded Jedi Training Academy, probably a Milennium Falcon m&g/walkthrough and a new E-ticket. Some updates to Star Tours and a Mos Eisley Cantina too.

I'd also guess a trackless dark ride for GMR's space if it's getting replaced, Tangled goes where B&TB is, Mermaid gets swapped for something else, Disney Junior gets some updates, and the Muppets might get a mini-land.

Since it's bigger than DCA's budget right now ($1.1 billion)

But the question whether anything else might be there. A third track alone shouldn't take up the whole building. I know some have speculated a gift shop, but it might be used for something like a M&G or a queue for a a ride behind SS1.
Or that space could just remain empty. Like half of the buildings at DHS.

They have to move Walt's frozen head somewhere after it was unearthed during the hub construction at the Magic Kingdom.

I think it would as well, but I'd still rather see it in DAK as that park could really use a ride of that type and caliber as it seeks to become a "full day park" and have enough for everyone.
I could see it working in DAK, but the theme would be a little odd. What's interesting is that the thematic break argument typically doesn't get made on an attraction that isn't tied to an intellectual property.
