DHS Rumor Confirmation?

3 points:

- This is old news that has been discussed since SM went down. That is why no one is running with the news.

- The ride was supposed to reopen with new track and audio and be up to
date with the attraction at other parks. By just doing a halfa$$ refurb and saying "yea in the future we might go back and add audio maybe" is the same crap they pulled with SSE and is unacceptable. It further proves the point they really don't care about making the ride better for fans or guests.

-How is it great news?

It was rumored not confirmed.

It was cut and added back.

You may be the unhappiest person I have ever had the unfortunate fate of encountering.

Edit: Was going to ask a question, but realized I would just be getting sucked into another two poster conversation.

Where else would Disney put the bus stations? DHS is already cramped for space at the the moment and putting them elsewhere would be a tight fit.

If this does come to pass I hope Disney finally learns to put another ENTRANCE GATE to the park instead of backing traffic up onto Buena Vista Drive.

The main entrance to the DHS parking lot is from World Drive, and has about 12 lanes. The gate you are speaking of is the secondary 3 lane (2 guest, one WDW Bus Only) off of Buena Vista Drive. Sorry, but this is a pet peeve of mine - people just assume the secondary is the only gate.

It was rumored, then confirmed.
Audio was in, then it was out. Now it is confirmed as possibly in...but later.
And for what it's worth, Conundrum is kinda right. They are going "light" with this refurb, doing far less than what was originally planned. Not doing it right the first time, holding off on some elements (such as audio) for later...really not acceptable. Giving them a pass on it just makes them think it's ok, which it really isn't.
Post refurb, MK's SM will still not be the best SM. May be better than Tokyo, but that's not saying a whole lot.

I don't know about all that. The confirmation that the new track would be able to hold new and heavier vehicles was new to me on these boards. Perhaps I missed that before but I don't think so. Anyway, I just think it's good news.

Well...At least it will look good. I'm not happy, either.

Do you know anything about a marketing campaign for it?

I apologize, I've never used the World Drive entrance before and I am accustomed to using the secondary gate. I always stay in the Boardwalk area or OKW so I never pass the other entrance.

Yay, just more conformation that Space will come back up and be finished eventually. Will this be a trend with attractions with the word space in them? Will MS eventually go down for refrub, only to come back with no video, with promises of going to Jupiter in the future?

Way to go TDO!
