DHS Parking lot remodel and expansion

Between the new Mickey ride and Star Wars Battle Escape ride, Mystic Manor would be redundant. And you have spooky already in ToT.

What DHS needs are rides that clone the mechanics of
  • Flight of Passage;
  • Shanghai's Pirates;
  • a dark omnimover;
  • interactive comedy animation show (a la Crush, or MonstersILF)
All paired with the appropriate IP for the park.

I wish we would get a clone of the monsters ride from Disneyland or the Monsters Inc Ride and Go Seek. Add MILF and you would have two more family friendly experiences.

From that picture it looks like you can take the first left into the exit before getting to the booth. You might have to dodge any cars that are leaving.... Not condoning this, just looks odd to me
Sure you could make an illegal left and drive against the flow of traffic the wrong way down the road for an extended bit. If you’re willing to go to those lengths you can avoid paying to park at all the parks.

Why stop there? I'd you are willing to risk your family's life for $20 you can also use these other hacks to have a magical Disney vacation at no cost to you!

-Run through the park exit to avoid paying for admission. If Security starts chasing you throw your smallest child at them to make your get-away.

-Lines are for suckers. Push past any closed doors or gates and eventually you'll find yourself in the middle of Space Mountain or Jungle Cruise. Now you're part of the magic too!

-Tons of free food is just sitting there for you to sample. Just give the cast members a push and they'll happily sit there and while you scoop up some treats.

-Finally you want some souvenirs? The Emporium is located right next to the exit. Grab and go!

Looks like they have removed the conveyor that was bringing soil from the retention pond excavation.

And doing so, leaving a huge dirt pile at the SW tip of the parking lot. Which muddies the theory that the huge dirt pile in the middle of the lot was done in preparation for the SW Resort going there. If a huge dirt pile was preparation for the SW Resort, it can now go pretty much anywhere in the lot.

Although, my money is till on the gap between the western berm and Falcon being the frontispiece for the resort and the work-building there is only temporary.

I don't think the removal of the conveyor really changes anything. It's unlikely they were going to reverse the conveyor to remove the pile, it it's no permanent it would ne trucked out to somewhere else.

Does anything in these photos indicate where the Star Wars Hotel would go? Is it where the presumed parking lot expansion was / is going? Or possibly across World Drive where they excavated all the dirt?

I would think across World Drive is least likely since that area is for a new storm water retention pond. It is possible that part of the area that was going to become new parking might become the hotel instead, but that is just a guess at this point.

I concur that there's nothing in the aerials that give it away. It could still be:
  • anywhere on what was originally permitted as 'parking',
  • right next to Big Bird (the temporary green building would have to be dismantled) -- which is where my money is, or,
  • anywhere else that hasn't been cleared yet -- any day we might see some clearing and a big pile of dirt pushed onto the clearing.

It would be amazing to be able to see it from the land as an additional thematic element.

What about the area south of Osceola Pkwy and East of World Drive, just North ESPN Wide World of Sports where it looks like they built a big construction parking lot. It would seem after all the construction workers are gone it could be a perfect place to build the Star Wars Hotel. It would already have construction parking and then permanent parking.

That land is available for construction, but since there is plenty of land directly adjacent to the park without having to cross a highway I think they will put it in one of those areas.

The green building is neither temporary nor being dismantled. Two of them are in fact brand new.
