DHS Makeover - What we know so far.....

I'm the admin in the aforementioned "Disney related facebook group" and posted this map. Came from another theme park centric website. I used it as more of an example for the masses of what the layout could be. You cannot imagine the hysteria and angst of these folks over losing LMA and the playground.

It always find it amazing at the sheer number of theories and speculation that occurs in the many Disney fan groups. I hope I am not in the wrong for taking the map and posting it here. It differed from what I had read about, but I found it intriguing non the less.

Just came across an interesting possible layout for TSL that was created and posted in a Disney related facebook group. While some of what he shows is not what has been confirmed by some of the resident experts on this forum, I thought it was an interesting layout for TSL using the back portion of the park where LMA and BLT are located.

The area is where Phase 3 goes. Phase 3 may have been greenlit and speed tracked.

…Is there any chance that Phase 3 isn't actually the 3rd things finished? It's practically ludicrous, but what if the work on the parking garages and infrastructure will take longer than planned? Or TFA exceeded expectations and they're working on even bigger plans for Star Wars Land instead? And they instead thought it was was better to get the "earmarked for future development" land taken care of first?

I doubt anyone here could answer that. Most were quite surprised by the announced closures today.

Absolutely love to hear things are starting to happen, can't wait for the layout of the lands or blueprints. Its going to be a small park for a when but boy its worth it

Careful, there is a lot more misinformation (intentional and unintentional) going on forums like this than usual about DHS.

Awesome that's what I was hearing and with the rumored budget there just had to be a phase 3. Now DCA Had a 1.1 billion for its expansion so Hollywood Studios is in good shape

That just gave me an idea. Everyone's talking about The Incredibles and Monstropolis and such for Phase 3, but what about the Electronic Realm of TRON? Opportunities abound for food and merchandise, which is what they're really looking for nowadays, based after the Wizarding World model. Clone the coaster from Shanghai, build Flynn's Arcade, the End of Line Club, a special effects game arena show, maybe a more traditional Omnimover-style dark ride. Have programs roaming the area interacting with people. It'd be an area very distinctive from anywhere else at any other park. People may have been lukewarm towards the movie, but you may see more interest in it if you say you can actually enter and interact with that world.

As much as I would love some more Pixar lands it would be cool to see maybe Tron, Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, Jungle Book (if its a hit) or Wreck it Ralph but phase 3 should have something Pixar (2 mini lands) and the others for a phase 4???

But this is a rumor site, so what we REALLY wanna know is, what's Phase 5 gonna be?
The rest is old news.

I vote for an entire land based upon Pixar's FuturePast. That's a movie that doesn't exist yet, because it hasn't been announced. Mostly because I just made it up. But I think a whole land
based upon it should be discussed. It could even be a springboard into a Phase 6.

I'll bet 14 billion is going to be allocated for that expansion, and it's going to require the relocation
of world drive and of course the inevitable monorail expansion.

Wouldn't that be Animal Kingdom territory?
