Being a DVC owner and frequent park visitor, I feel like I am the model of the type of visitor Disney is courting...So therefore it is not ridiculous to expect that they update and periodically refresh attractions at the parks that I pay so much money attending. Fact is, they have shuttered many attractions at DHS, and the plain fact is that many of the existing attractions have gotten completely stale... Character meet and Greets are completely lost on me, and I don't believe they should even be marketed as attractions, but nice touches...like park benches and water fountains.Yeah, exactly. And, if they're on the guidebooks, then there's a good chance that they're first timers or infrequent visitors. The "half-day park!" nonsense comes from the people who have been several times and don't feel like watching the shows or doing any of the non-ride activities. Even with the closures, you've got Star Tours, Lights Motor Action, Indy, Muppet Vision, Great Movie Ride, Aerosmith, Tower of Terror, Beauty & The Beast, Frozen, Toy Story, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Fantasmic, character meets, and a handful of other entertainment options. To paraphrase what a poster in another thread stated, it's only a half-day park if you ignore a lot of what the park has to offer.
It is time this park had some love... With only 5 actual rides, Disney's Hollywood Studios has the least amount of rides of any Disney park in the entire world...
