The next D23 Expo will be in summer 2017

Yeah D23 is REALLY important to TWDC, They put on a dog and pony show every 2-3 years to talk about stuff a decade off, But OTOH it's a great way to separate fanboi's from their money without in most cases even sending them a magazine. The ultimate Disney goal get money do nothing at all.

In the Parks
No
@marni1971 said it was looking less likely, though...

I really hope this is true... I can see Hollywood Adventure as a code name for the project but not the final name. To me it's just so plain and not original. It just screams we spent time and treasure on this expansion to redesign the park yet still have no idea how to market it becides... star wars and advenure. It needs an original name, just my $.02

But Hollywood still applies to the "new" park and the word Adventure seems to explain how your day will be...I agree, it's not sexy, but I can't really think of any other title that would be as inclusive and descriptive of what we are getting.

But does it not scream "hey we copied Universal on this one, 'cause we could not create an alternative of our own", to you?

I've spent more money on far less.

Can you provide a list of projects that were announced at D23 that are a decade off? Since I believe the first D23 was less than a decade ago you should be able to back up your claims.

If you can't then I think your days of trolling may be limited. IMO.

I drafted this plan based on the artwork, rumors and personal guesswork/dreaming: http://www.idealbuildout.blogspot.com/

It may serve a minor informational purpose in that it translates the Toy Story Land key art to an overhead layout.
In the blank area, you could add monstropolis/carsland as it is a rumor that has surfaced again. Love the detail.

That's really nice @RandySavage .

I really like Disney's Hollywood Adventures more than Disney's Hollywood Studios. Big Hero 6 , Lilo and Stitch , 101 Dalmatians , Hercules , Tangled, Aladdin and Wreck it Ralph would be the non Pixar IPs I would like to see and fit the new name .

CL should stay in Cali. The movie was actually inspired by California and would hurt DCA's attendance. Monstropolis with the door coaster, Harry Hausen's and MLF( to eat crowds) would be amazing and unique to FL. Cars sells so much merch they'll definitely build some ride for it. Nemo and ITTBAB from AK , a clone of one BL ride from DCA , preferably Heimlich train, a Nemo C or D ticket water ride or Nemo water play area , Incredibles E Ticket , Ratatouille restaurant and Islands in the Sky from Legoland themed to Up would be the perfect Pixar Place for me.

I love the work that you did, your ideas for layout and design of the new DHS are quite convincing. An Indiana Jones land connected to Sunset Boulevard would work especially well, since they both belong to the same era. And "Cinetopia", hmmm? ... that could grow on me!

Great Work @RandySavage if only TWDC would build something along the lines of your plan, It has thematic and temporal consistency which I like. Sunset Blvd/Indy being an example.

Still waiting for proof of announced D23 projects not happening.

The silence is deafening.

Here you go again making things up. D23 is a chance for Disney fans to here about plans that Disney has in all the areas they work, TV, Movies, Parks, etc. There have always been these kind of conventions, but any companies such as Apple have starting to host their own. You will see more companies doing the same thing over the next few years.

No, it was inspired by Route 66 and is primarily set in Arizona. But since the Route (and the movie) ends in California, not to mention the whole California Car Culture, it works.
I have Aspergers and always forget to finish explaining what I mean. Cars is one of my favorite movies so I know he doesn't make it until the race lol. I guess they can come up with a story of the crew going to Florida. CL is beautiful especially at night from pictures .I just really hope we can get a unique land in Florida.
