Why are posts being censored if we dare say DHS is in a poor state?

All my posts deleted.

It doesn't look like any announcement on anything new at DHS - does this mean the insiders are talking rubbish?
I'm willing to bet the moderation was do to something more than simply stating "DHS is in a poor state."

It was such an obvious statement - no one disagrees, IFAIK, that DHS is in a poor state. The topic is, what is (or isn't) being done about it?

Your other question was about changes in other parks - off topic.

No, it doesn't mean that. Theme parks often begin construction before they even reveal what's being built.

It's unwise for a theme park to make announcements of plans that are still in flux, especially when the final product is still 5+ years away. Disney will wait for the D23 event, at the very least, and perhaps longer, before announcing a huge DHS project.

Well the funding has been approved, so the plans are probably locked down in terms of content ...

Oh, I agree, but as time goes on, things inevitably change. And it's not necessarily that they aren't sure of what's going to happen, but there can always be last-minute shuffling of plans. New Fantasyland is a perfect example. The plans were shown (at D23, I think?) that didn't have Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, but rather a pixie type area with a spinner ride (like the Mater ride at DCA). But then, very late in the process, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was added to the project, replacing the pixie area. I'm not sure if construction had already started when they made that announcement, but it just goes to show that plans can and do change at various stages of the game.

Also DCA was announced five years out.
Yes, that was a rather unusual situation, as the Cars Land project was announced almost 2 years before construction began.

That was another of those projects that changed significantly from the time the first artwork/models were shown. Much of the early concepts were changed, and a drive-in theater restaurant (a la Sci-Fi dine-in) was scrapped late in the process, despite being announced as part of the project.

And? They'll announce it at D23 or they'll do a separate media event on or around October 1st for Florida media then ... You have to announce it at some point you can't delay it because things may change...

It was meant as a Phase 2 like loads of items that would of been put into DCA but since have been quietly shelved.

Plans leaked for both the FLE and Carsland before intended. They have seriously locked things down these days.

Getting back on topic though...I wonder how much substance the DHS overhaul will really have. While I like nice elaborate theming, what I really want are rides.

Only problem is the generation raised on video games sees the world differently. Traditional dark rides need thrills or interactive elements. I am thinking they are developing the tech even as we write. Well not today because it is Sunday. But early tomorrow they will be back at it.
