DHS Makeover - What we know so far.....

Aren't the Land, Imagination, and Seas essentially pretty facades that hide unornamented buildings?
Just because a building is unornamented does not mean it's a warehouse. Imagination comes closest, but the others were purpose-built with complicated greenhouse and aquarium systems designed and built into them. Unornamented to a degree, but from the perspective of structural engineering, far, far from a warehouse.

The only thing that I've heard was @WDW1974 suggesting that the rebranding could be announced.

Other than that, I've never expected anything. No details on Star Wars for DHS will come out, mostly because the movie isn't out yet. (I think Ive said that for over a year now).

I expect Avatar & DAK news/details. Everything else is being held close to the vest.

Thanks! I don't know why I exepected any announcements anyway ... :p

Local positioning system. It's used in "trackless" attractions like Pooh's Hunny Hunt and Aquatopia in Tokyo, Ratatouille in Paris, and Mystic Manor in Hong Kong. Check out videos of any of those on youtube if you haven't seen them before. The Ratatouille attraction even incorporates 3D projections similar to Spider-Man / Transformers.
OH! Local positioning system, yea. I knew what that is, but the acronym didnt click with me for some reason.

True. The future world pavilions (with the exception of Mission: Space) are fully designed buildings all around. Probably due to the fact that they can be seen on all sides from the monorail.

Some of the more obvious examples of buildings being essential warehouses are Small World, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, the portion of Splash Mountain, the back of the Japan Pavillion, the back of the Norway Pavillion, pretty much all of the Mexico Pavillion, DINOSAUR, and Theater in the Wild.

At DHS though, the GMR, Sci-Fi Dine In, Star Tours, Hyperion Theater, Disney Junior, Little Mermaid, Toy Story Mania, and the Back of Rock n Roller Coaster are obviously warehouses. However, they were purposefully designed to look like that and not be hidden.

Phase one was TSMM and the PP Arch. I know, not real impressive. Phase 2 will be equally as impressive.

Why is it that Disney is absolutely intent on NOT building impressive compelling attractions at their Flagship Resort? This arrogance is going to bite them in the *** worse than it already has.

Agreed. Here's hoping they're getting a lot for their money

Let's hope for an announcement, perhaps in name only, so we can get a proper sub-forum for all these threads!

(Specifically the part that says DISNEY PARKS AND RESORTS at 3!!!)
