is it going to be open in aug? im sorry im confused. lol
Just my thoughts about what is to come...
I'm so glad that there will still be the single seats like there are on the current rockets. I like the feeling of having your own seat and it is different than Dinseyland. I like the idea of retheming the exit. New track work sounds great! I also like the roof over the station because I have always disliked hearing and seeing everything before riding it.
Here's a question though. Will you still be able to see the coaster from the TTA? And what will happen with the TTA during construction. Will there be a temp. wall put up or something?
I would assume the questions regarding the changes to the post show/exit are concerning the space rocks delivery scenes, not the archaic TV screens/video cameras that are reminiscent of the electronics department at Wal-Mart. Is there any question that those are "bad show" at WDW?
And has been a "bad show" for about 20 years. There is so much cool stuff that could go in that spot. Perhaps a leftover Fiber Optic Cityscape :animwink:
(or better yet a brand new one).
Am I correct that the area once had a "chromakey" effect where the blue wall behind you was replaced on-screen with an "outer space" scene? And has been a "bad show" for about 20 years. There is so much cool stuff that could go in that spot. Perhaps a leftover Fiber Optic Cityscape :animwink:

i have always been fond of the geometric shape translucent things on the wall right past the TV's. classic. it looks like my drafting 45, 60/30 angle guides.I would assume the questions regarding the changes to the post show/exit are concerning the space rocks delivery scenes, not the archaic TV screens/video cameras that are reminiscent of the electronics department at Wal-Mart. Hey, it would be an improvement over what's there currently (then again, so would just about anything).
But we better be careful, here--we haven't qualified these statements as our opinions, the forum police might come by and chastise us!
(I'm considering adding this to my signature so I don't get in any trouble around here, because the fact that I write something is simply not enough to make clear that it's my opinion: "The above statements represent only the opinions of WDWFigment, and are not meant to be objective or representative statements of the average WDW visitor.")
You just made my day, week, and month! Thank you! I now know I am not alone here in cyberworld.![]()
I didn't read every page, but what about the exterior? Are they just leaving it plain white? I mean, atleast use the lights that are placed all around the building for one solid light blue color or something. Everyone elses Space Mountain looks so much nicer. Ours looks "unfinished".![]()

i would agree. i like the white top. im at a loss as to what to do for the blue bottom. maybe a different shade of blue. not sure, but i am tired of the baby blue.I prefer the solid white top; but our industrial, baby-blue corrugated metal base needs to be themed ASAP!

not strange. since the blue exterior isnt that visible, i cant see a mural working. it would be a waste, but if you want ot see how lighting can really change an attraction, go look at SM Paris. that lighting is incredible. i simply love it. i wish i could see in person since im sure it is much better then the special i watched on it and in the photosI agree with the sentiments about the white exterior. However, I wouldn't say no to some colored lights for SM at night. (A slight hint of blue might actaully look nice!)
As for that baby blue, I think a nice rich blue, similar to the one over at SSE, would look very nice, with perhaps even a bit of orange here or there. (I know that seems strange, but it could look nice!)
From our good friends at Micechat:
The entire track will be replaced with new higher guaged steel, but the layout WILL NOT change
