The distortion should be lessened due to the configuration of the seats. Soaring' has all of the benches perpendicular to the centerline of the screen. Flight of Passage has only two benches and they are angled towards the center of the screen.
That wouldn't help. The outer seats will be just closer to the bent image. The angled rows will just elimate more of seeing off the screen.

I'm sure they've thought about the verticals with this.

Sigh... so much drama on the forum today. Guys are just as dramatic as girls, if not more. LOL.

I really appreciate your contributions here for the ride. But, I don't think it was a very nice gesture for ***** to demand the picture be taken down. There is no reason why we can't be cordial to one another.

And, I can't imagine anyone here doing something like that. I can understand a request to a add a link credit though.

I haven't seen Mr. Spirit here for a long time, so it's odd that you would bring him up out of context. You don't have to resort to that kind of thing. There are many posters here who appreciate your contributions at face value.

@danlb_2000 is so nice and helpful. I would be like so lost without him. He does a great job of making sure that the information presented here is accurate. He has to ask the tough questions. Otherwise, this forum would be a mess. So, don't take it personal.

Hi @David2319! Thanks. Oh well, I really have to give Disney credit for keeping this hush hush for so long. LOL.
Well Said My Friend @Siren

Other have confirmed that even though this may have a been a prototype you will still be sitting on it like a horse. The Tron coaster in Shanghai has a similar type of seating. I have no concerns about actual safety, although it may give you the sensation that you are not as secure as you really are.

Correct. I understand that a recorded voice will very forcefully tell us to "hang on tight" before the series of 17 barrel rolls. A little concern about the folk in the upper rows, so a couple of queen mattress pads will be scattered about on the floor based on information gleaned from fall simulations.

It will be like Soarin in that it's multiple seats in front of a large screen, but it sounds like it's going to have more physical motion then the Soarin and more effects. It's sounds like it is going to be one rider per, but I wouldn't have a problem with two if they were spaced apart enough, and it would help increase the capacity.

I wouldn't try to judge height requirement by Tron. Even though the seating position is similar it's two totally different ride system which will have a big impact on height requirements.

Also correct. I understand only those between 49 and 53 inches tall will be able to ride.

More cost cutting. Original plans called for king size memory foam mattresses. Value engineering at its worst.

I don't see how it's possible for each person to get their own banshee that would make wait times very long unless there will actually be 4 theaters like the original blueprints have shown. I'm hopeful that they would give you the option to ride in pairs because I do enjoy riding with family and friends. I'm sure parents will have to ride with their kids that are under a certain age. But that leaves me with the question of how much weight can these banshees support? What is the maximum weight capacity that one could hold?

Construction photos affirm there are four theaters, and three levels per theater, with two sections of seats per level of theater. I think insiders have estimated hourly capacity in the low to mid 2,000s, which is decent.

Yea I'm sure not every banshee would be single rider. I would like to believe a section of them could at least accomadate 2 riders.

You got those in the wrong places.
WOW!!! This forum has so many insiders!

Hi! Just been busy working on several projects.
Time to spill the beans, then. And, welcome back!!

Well Said My Friend @Siren
Awww, thank you so much @uncle jimmy! And, welcome to the forums! Apparently, the third time's the charm or so I've been told.

Like I said before, I don't mind if the Banshees are two rider but it should be set up like Astro Orbiter -- if you're not with friends and family then individuals should get their own Banshee.

I don't see why they can't cut out a piece of the Banshee and insert seats down inside like Space Mountain. It would have been just as thrilling. That's how I would have designed it.

ETA: Hurry back @JohnWD!!! It's getting so exciting, now that we're inching closer and closer to the deadline. Don't miss out.

Anyway, I can't wait for more details!!!

I am under the impression that you are leaning forward like the Tron coaster, so you'd have to have two people side by side leaning forward. Or you could have one in front and one in back, except the person in the back would have their face in your --- praying you don't rip a nasty the whole ride. "Take in all the wild Pandoran smells!"

Curious how they'll accommodate people with disabilities...don't know how they handle that with Soarin', either, or other Park attractions.

All they need to do to be compliant is have a suitable alternative ride vehicle that will likely be a very basic/normal type of seat and restraint. In Shanghai one of the Tron coaster trains has a 'normal' coaster train on the back for people who can't ride the standard Tron bike vehicle.
