that there was a secret apartment built in Cinderella Castle for the Disney Family at WDW.....It was planned that way, but because of Walt's Death BEFORE WDW was built, the plans changed. It only recently became an inhabitable space for the YOAMD promotion.

The castle suite was were they used to have the telephone operators for Disney. That is what we learned on our Keys to the Kingdom tour.
Uncle Walt is buried in tact in California. we learned that also

Here's another one I can think of:

There are garbage chutes that lead to the underground Utilidors from all the trash cans. That's why you never see a Disney Cast Member emptying them.

My aunt heard that when we went on vacation in June. I didn't think it was right but wanted to keep my mouth shut until I had proof. As soon as we walked into MK there was a garbage can and it was being emptied. So there went that myth!

That part is true. I forget what my KTTK tour guide told us but I have seen (and heard) garbage going through the chutes.

As for the flags on Main Street, I heard that they were missing a star or had too many stars so that they were not officially US flags and didnt have to be removed.

small children are abducted and put into IASW.... at least that was what my older sister use to tell me (when i was a small child).

A flag can stay up overnight so long as there is a light on it all night.

From what ive heard is that the flags are missing a star therefore its not a US flag and can stay up all night and not be lit. The one in town square is a official US flag, is not lit and this is the reason for the flag ceremony every afternoon prior to sunset.

The one about Small World gives me a laugh because I heard more than one bus driver over the years say "Gather up all your belongings and take small chirldren by the hand, any chirldren leftwill be taken to IASW".

Trash does go through the avacs(big pipes) in the utilodors but they are not connected to the on stage trash cans. They must be dumped by a CM one at a time.

I think the "myth" is that it is sucked from each can. The system does work that way, but from Janitorial Drop-Off Points, not from every trash can.

It was being built for the family....Roy Disney was the person who took over everything once Walt passed away. But they never got it done and the PBX (phone system) operators was up there for many years. Then it became a place to change for the gang for the stage shows in front of the castle.

If by intact you mean his ashes. He was cremated.

My fav false fact is every attraction has a hidden Mickey. They do not!!!!

dont think it wont be a scare tactic for me if my daughter is being a little too "sassy"; "ummmm, excuse me. you better watch your tone young lady or ill make you sit in IASW all day". The sad thing is, she would probably love it.

it can be hard to prove a negative especially to someone who doesn't want to accept what you are saying.

Kind of hard to prove Walt's severed head isn't cryogenically frozen but it isn't.

and there isn't a hidden Mickey at each WDW attraction.

I've actually never heard that myth before reading his post. But once I did and thought about it, I thought... well, why not? :lol:

I think is more of a "inside" joke to parrents. I personally like the ride but you hear so many people joking about how much they hate IASW and how it took them all day do get "That Darn Song Out Of Their Head".

That the Tinkerbell flying from the castle is male. It's completly untrue and even CM's are convinced they've seen "him" and in some versions he's asian or black.
