D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event—comes to Anaheim, California from August 9 to 11, 2024 and will be a fan experience like never before.

Next year’s one-of-a-kind experience will have spectacular shows, new venues and multiple days of entertainment that brings together the wonderful world of Disney. That’s everything including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and much, much more.

The D23 kickoff celebration will take place at Disneyland Resort on August 8 followed by shopping, exhibits, panels, presentations, and more on August 9 – 11 at the Anaheim Convention Center during the day, with the fun extending into the evening at the Honda Center—the bigger home to marquee shows.

In addition, there will also be a special D23 Day at Angel Stadium, where D23 fans are invited to attend the Los Angeles Angels vs. New York Mets game on August 4.

Tickets for D23 will go on sale in Spring 2024, with ticketing options to be announced later for access to the Anaheim Convention Center and the Honda Center. Admission for D23 Day at Angel Stadium and the D23 kickoff celebration at Disneyland Resort will be available as separate ticketed events.

Additional details for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will be announced in early 2024.
The announcements will go something like this.

We ARE building new lands, shopping, resorts in China.
Imagine, what if, we could, maybe, thinking about, possibly, new attractions in MK and AK in Florida.

I bet we see blue sky stuff again this year with no actual announcements for WDW.

They know the audience will not react badly or boo or anything.
They need to do something this year. They’ll be a laughing stock if they don’t. Bob also needs to show investment to shareholders.

They should openly say 'We are limited by how much we can build in Florida due to the current political climate'.
Still think they are going to build regardless but yeah the “updated situation“ hinders their ability. Hopefully they prevail but that’s a talk for a different thread.

They have to build some things, but I would push the blame on the State regardless.

They will absolutely say this as an excuse for not building what they never were going to in the first place.

It doesn’t matter, they have to build something period. WDW is in the most need of expansion of any of their properties it’s the flagship. They have no new projects after Tiana.

…Epic is also coming not that they seem to care but it’s important to mention. No new rides for at least 2-3 years from the point the shovels hit the ground. They need to start NOW.

I'll stand by my previous statement - They need to be moving dirt, not making announcements. But making announcements is better for PR, and allows cans to be kicked down the road further if/when necessary. Moving dirt means money has to show up on the books. But apparently October 1, 2024 is the date that Disney will suddenly be flush with cash and can start throwing billions into WDW.
