It’s happening guys! Getting more and more real everyday. Shouldn’t be long till we get a schedule and panel reservations (if that even is still a thing).

EDIT: Was just about to post that email

Since I won’t have a car, I’m torn between either the D23 shuttle or the ART bus. There appears to be an ART bus stop right outside my hotel.

Some more info I dug up on the sit it’s worth noting the site got a minor influx of information. Nothing groundbreaking but maybe worth a look on finer details.

It is recommended that guests allow at least 90 minutes for travel time from the Anaheim Convention Center to the Honda Center.
Doors Open
Doors for the Honda Center will open two (2) hours prior to each presentation start time:
• Disney Entertainment Showcase: Friday, August 9, at 7 p.m. (doors at 5 p.m.)
• Disney Experiences Showcase: Saturday, August 10, at 7 p.m. (doors at 5 p.m.)
• Disney Legends Ceremony: Sunday, August 11, at 5 p.m. (doors at 3 p.m.)

Did they list the good neighbor hotels providing this service?
They did not. I am staying at the Clarion and there is an ART stop right by the hotel. It’s also not too far from the stop at the convention center’s grand plaza.

EDIT: I’m basing this off the map on the transports page.

We are 65 days out from the event. Looking at the historical data from the last expo a few things happened already that haven’t happened yet.

1.) Badge management opened around 80 days before the event
2.) Reserved Panel reservations opened around 80 days before the event
3.) Badges began shipping around 72 days before the event

Major milestones further out:

1.) 50 days before the app went live with what I assume is the schedule.
2.) 44 days before we got our first details on the Disney Parks panel.

They could be waiting to get all their Brazil tickets sold next week then start the trickle of information. It has to be coming soon though. Some of this information was derived from the D23 Reddit.

This whole expo has been fairly sluggish. 2022's dates were announced a full year in advance day and date. Ticket sales were in January for September if my memory serves me right.

Not exactly at the 11 month window as this was (and really 2022 had a good excuse) with March ticket sales for an early August date.

2019's dates were announced about 17 months in advance with tickets on sale a full year ahead of time!

I'm chalking this up to the logistics of the Honda Center. But I'd much prefer them to get a little more ahead of schedule for 2026. Mostly just the dates is what I care about. Though I am very thankful the keynote scramble is technically over with. That was a positive change. If there are show passes again for convention hall stuff, hopefully they do that lottery system.

This is my first expo I plan to attend in person so can only go by historical data. It does seem that way, they are waiting an awfully long time to be release information.

64 days out now and I feel we should know way more? Maybe that’s just me though, I would like to plan somethings out (namely panels/events) in advance if possible.

Ya, the keynotes though and our seating is ahead of the game, so that's generally a positive to me.

I'm still quite interested in what they do with Hall D23 and the convention floor in general. There's a lot of extra space to use now.

From one of the earlier press releases, Halls A-D will be used for show floor pavilions and the shops have been moved to the north hall.

Oh right I forgot about that… that’s even more space. It’s nuts. They must just be keeping it as a stage then and moving the presentations they think will be most popular to hall D

Got this email from D23 today.

“Dear D23 Member,

Since our first D23 Expo in 2009, our gatherings have come a long way. We have celebrated the magic of Disney in Anaheim, Orlando, Tokyo, and Paris, and we have welcomed hundreds of thousands of fans from all over the world. Now, we are ready to bring D23 to Brazil, and we want you to be part of it.

I'm pleased to extend to you a special invitation to purchase discounted tickets to attend D23 Brazil: A Disney Experience on November 8, 9, and 10, 2024, at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo, Brazil. This is a limited-time offer that was created for D23 Members, and it will give you access to the ultimate Disney fan experience in Latin America.

This is our first time taking D23 to Latin America, and we are so excited to share with you the amazing lineup of events, panels, presentations, and surprises that we have prepared. You will get a first look at the latest news and sneak peeks from the worlds of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, ESPN, and National Geographic, as well as enjoy entertainment
and interactive experiences you won't find anywhere else.

For more information about the event, visit D23Brasil.com.

We can't wait to see you at D23 Brazil, and we thank you for being part of the D23 family. This is going to be an unforgettable event, and we hope you will join us for the aventura of a lifetime!”

The email goes on to provide a code I won’t share. Presale on June 13th. Hoping this doesn’t cannibalize the actual D23 in California it shouldn’t but just a thought I had. I need them to give us information on the actual event that’s approaching 60 days away.
