Also, one quick question, when is the MK railroad coming back? Was hoping right before Tron, but now I'm hoping we can at least see it this year with Tron still being further out.

Well with that new work being done beyond Big Thunder they would just have to reclose it so maybe ght as well just keep it closed

I believe we've already had insiders suggest that it basically is HEA coming back, just with some updates -- thus it's not the exact same show returning. That's why it says "updated nighttime spectacular returns" instead of just saying it's a new show featuring HEA.
In Josh's announcement he said specifically that it was a New Nighttime Spectacular using the old song. If it was just an updated HEA they would have said that.

That's fine, but I'm telling you insiders have suggested otherwise. The language in the tweet you posted supports that it's HEA coming back, too. It saves face to frame it that way instead of suggesting Enchantment wasn't good enough and so we are going back to an old show.

The insiders could be wrong, of course.

I think y’all are underselling the plan to expand behind big thunder and redo Dinoland. They aren’t gonna throw that out without it being an actual plan to do something in those areas. We kinda thought dinoland was gonna happen eventually but the MK expansion definitely wasn’t on my radar.
You fell for it…you do understand what “blue sky” is, right?
There is no plan. There were no commitments. That literally was just blue sky filler.

I can’t over or undersell something that, as of right now, exists mainly as conceptartd23_v3.png
You didn’t

Alright, I wanna thank you all for many wonderful years on this forum! I’ve had the greatest times speculating, getting excited, trying to figure out hints and clues from insiders and following construction on a few amazing new projects with you all.

Special thanks to marni and the other insiders (those still here and those already gone).

I know this is where the company has been headed for the last couple of years, but for some reason today feels like a definitive point. At least to me. It won’t be the same anymore. Still looking forward to fun conversations, but the excitement for practically anything has worn off im afraid.

Still, had a blast for a real long while! Thanks!

I'm aware of what insiders have said.

It seems only too reasonable to listen to the head of Parks and Resorts making an announcement about what's coming over them. As we all know plans change all the time, especially when things are on deck to be announced.

There's no way that every official Disney press release would use such confusing language about Happily Ever After if they could simply say that "Happily Ever After Fireworks will return, with some new surprises". They are trying to communicate that the show as we know it is not returning.

An updated HEA with some changed music/scenes is the "show as we know it not returning".

Even the site proprietor, who generally has inside knowledge of his own, specifically says Happily Ever After is returning.

The fireworks shows have never been a big deal to me and I didn't love HEA, so it doesn't really matter to me, but I'm not sure why you're so adamant that it's going to be a brand new show. It's certainly possible, but the evidence we have suggests it's just going to be an updated HEA.

I bet you $1,000 you're wrong.
Should I DM you my info so you can get that grand over to me? 😜

Wow, I just finished watching the panel. It was even worse than I thought it would be. Talk about a letdown for WDW. The blue sky stuff seemed like it was thrown in for the crowd reaction with no intention of it happening. And if any of it does, Josh kept saying it's not anytime soon. But hey, we can meet Mando! Oh wait, nevermind.

Because I seem to have been one of the few people who heard the specific wording of Josh's live announcement, which said "next year we're bringing back the Happily Ever After Anthem". That's such a weird and specific way to word that announcement, and it implies that it's the only part of the show that's actually returning. Which is fine, but let's be accurate about what's happening.

The simplest theory here is actually that he would never have said that the way he did if it would have been just as true to say "Happily Ever After, the show, will be returning with updates" . The emphasis was fully on the song, but it got drowned out by a screaming crowd who assumed they understood what he was saying before he finished his sentence.

That multiple Disney-direct sources are now wording their follow ups the same way, with the emphasis on the song, seems like something we should give weight to.

Not sure on the intention of purposely neglecting Disneyworld.

I’m certain the Florida Governor isn’t sitting there concerned that the Mando isn’t coming to Florida. But it did feel purposeful to ignore WDW.
Mando for DL only isn't surprising. DW guests don't know how to hang with walk-around characters.

The Disney Parks tweet very specifically said an updated show is returning, though. I'm honestly not sure how you're reading that to make you think it's suggesting there will be an entirely new show.

It's possible their wording was terrible, but it's more likely Josh D'Amaro's was bad. We will find out soon enough, of course, but all the other evidence from both insiders and Disney themselves (the Disney Parks Blog also very specifically says updated and not new) significantly outweighs Josh D'Amaro's comments to me.
