Which makes Avatar going to Disneyland all the more puzzling. I never see or hear anyone buying merch for Avatar or a strong fandom for those movies.

It's probably because of the amount of $$$ they dropped on the Fox deal, so they need to spend a ton of capital shoving the property down our throats to make themselves feel better about it.

I would think they sell more toy Dino’s than Indy merch.

Little kids, especially boys, take to it a ton. It's like the boy-targeted brand for Disney in contrasts to their Princess brand.

Marvel and Star Wars were that thats why they were purchased to counter balance the princess and fantasy brands.
