It's not for MNSSHP. There are no TS open after 6pm on ANY day in September. The particular day in question is September 14 when the MK is open until 12am.
There is no schedule for MNSSHP yet, at least that I have found, so it is hard to say regarding that. But why there are no times for TS beyond 6:00 pm is beyond me. It makes no sense. It's open until 12 am but that is for EMH. But it is still open until 10 pm. It is open tonight until 12 am and we just came from there and we walked by the Crystal Palace on our way out at about 8:30 pm and it was pack as well as a lot of people waiting outside. It makes no sense why you can't get something beyond 6 pm. I would suggest calling to see if they have an explanation.

That's crazy to start up the Halloween the first of September. Does the Christmas party start November 1st?

I have no problem with the Halloween parties. I'm going to one of them on the 13th.... it's the closing of ALL TS locations before 6pm that's disconcerting

I am not sure what the true purpose for that may be but my guess is that it may be due to people that make ADR's for 6pm in order to be in the park during the party as a little way to cheat the system. The only thing they couldn't do was ride the attractions because they did not have a wristband. On our last trip there were two couples sitting together next to us in BOG that we could plainly hear talking about taking their time eating and hanging out at their table so they could have "some" fun at the MNSSHP. They were at their table when we were seated and they were there when we left and we did not rush.

As mentioned in earlier posts, there are no ADRs available beyond 6pm on ANY evening in Sept, not just (potential) MNSSHP dates.

There are two dates that I posted where the (current) park closings are 9 and 10pm. Clearly not MNSSHP nights. And no available ADRs later than 5:10pm.

Ahh. Sorry. I missed that.

That in addition to the fact that the Halloween guests start arriving en masse at 4pm and are going to be needing dinner soon. Disney closes many of the Magic Kingdom's restaurants during the party, and the ones they do keep open end up being strained by the demand- it's better off for crowd management purposes that party guests get a good crack at the table-service restaurants before they close, and non-party guests be encouraged to make dinner plans outside the park on those evenings.

...which might sound unfair if you're a non-party guest, but at least Disney's giving everyone fair warning.

Considering how many Halloween parties sold out last year, Disney would be kind of crazy not to start them in September.
yes, but going the walmart thing is going to dilute the entire thing.
Aka Walmart loves to start selling Halloween stuff 2 months BEFORE it even starts.. and then instantly switch to Christmas carp.
this disturbing commercialism is actually killing what makes these special.

I don't get your analogy.
The vast majority of guests are only going to go to one Magic Kingdom Halloween party once a year, tops. Probably more like once every couple years.
Between the expense and people getting time off from work or their kids' school, there's a limited window for most families to book a trip to Disney World that could coincide with the party season.
Besides, the more party nights of a particular event program Disney holds per year, the more their bean counters can rationalize spending on entertainment and decorations, since per-ticket expenditures would scale down the more parties they add.

Not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread yet, but Spirit mentioned the following in another thread. Looks like food pricing will continue to rise while portion sizes shrink and lower quality ingredients are substituted. All due to Shanghai problems.

The budget cuts continue at WDW (and DL) to make up for the overspending that is happening in China. Chefs are being told to buy cheaper ingredients and plate the food differently so smaller portions can be served, all while prices rise (and not one Lifestyler/Tweeter/Blogger or Podcaster will rip them for it). You could serve these people a pile of cow pooh on a plate and so long as it was from Disney, they'd eat it and tell you how tasty it was.

Two words 'Rental Car' allows one to eat off property for MUCH less and get better food which is sad because at one time Dining was one of the key elements of the Disney experience.

The quality and diversity of the dining in the past made it feel like a resort and not just some theme parks and hotels. It was a complete experience. I still think there are a few on property restaurants worth visiting, but for the most part, that's not the case. If quality slips further due to cuts, there might not be any reason to dine on property.

Except that they took the Magic Bus in and absolutely insist that they will not drive around in WDW, so they have no choice. I'm glad that I was raised to be independent and insistent that I control my own life. I've never been caught as a captive. I always have had a choice and no matter what WDW does I will always remain that way until I physically can no longer go there. The rest of them are on their own.

I remember when Texas de Brazil cost more than a Disney dinner buffet, now it's cheaper

So do I, And it's now on our list of places to eat while at WDW and Disney's buffet's are largely off the list because they are not worth the asking price. Texas de Brazil is a very good Churrascaria and it's truly a memorable experience whereas Disney's buffets are heading for parity with the local Golden Corral but at a price which buys you 1-2 michelin stars anywhere else.

EDIT: When travelling in the South especially I eat at the Golden Corral frequently because it's fast and inexpensive and I happen to LIKE vegetables. The food is nothing special but it's consistent.
